Are macfags really that bad?
No. MacBooks are high quality laptops but are overpriced. You could make the argument that this can be made up by their high resell costs but that's up to you. In the end, there are two types of Apple users: the ones who don't know technology and the ones who are at least semi-technology literate and know they're spending a little more than they probably should but think that the user experience validates the added cost.
