I have the I7-4930k pcu. problem is I do not know what processor I want to upgrade to. 2011 socket type motherboards cost so much and I really want a smaller build, maybe micro-atx.
what would be the obvious upgrade from this older generation card.

I am actually a retarded /v/ gamur. But I also use maya and 3ds max. so I do appreciate the render times I am getting with this card.
I guess I am stuck with this. I thought maybe I had options for a smaller motherboard with a different card without sacrificing processing power.

if you REALLY NEED an upgrade, look for xeon. There is no i7, not event 5960x, that is worth the upgrade. Some 12C/24T Xeon would be a proper upgrade, but price is massive

I worked @ bestbuy so I got my processor for about 200 and change using intel's retail edge program. Every summer and winter they sell crazy shit for dirt cheap. I did not know what I was buying. So pretty much I am a poorfag no way in hell I am getting xeon. Thanks for the info
