My other problem is I have a relatively small case and I was worried about air coolers blowing all the hot air into my gpu, should I get a liquid cooler or is this not an issue?

Just don't point the exhaust fan at the gpu. AIO coolers are nice and don't draw as much dust inside the case but there's just more shit that can potentially break. In you want an AIO get a Corsair h60, if u want a heatsink get a hyper 212 evo, both are under $40

I've got a seidon 120v.
Single rad coolers are pretty neat, my i5 2500 hovers around 53-56 degrees during torture test. Could get it lower but I replaced the fan with a 1300rpm one for muh quiet pc.
As for tower coolers, what's your use for? Something small like the gammax 200 or 300 is plenty if you're not planning to oc.
