I had a Nexus 4. The screen was shit, the CPU throttled, the battery life sucked and it was slippey.
My Note 2 had black blotches on the screen, had a shitty pentile display that looked fuzzy, was also slippery and came with a shitty stock ROM.

I prefer android but I used to own an iPhone 5. It was one of the best performing phone I ever had, even on iOS9.
Apps in general actually look better on iOS. I'm not a dev but, looks like its a lot easier to make good looking apps for iOS.
On Android, specially with material design, there seems to be a lot of misinterpretation of the design language, some apps look really shitty.
I also miss the swipe to return, 90% of the times its better than having a back button.
Another thing I miss is the dedicated tab for widgets. Android widgets take a lot of space for very little information and most of the look ugly af on the homescreen

I develop software and let me tell you Windows fucking sucks for it. OS X isn't great. VS is probably the only good thing about development on Windows, but it's not great. Xcode is shit on OS X. In fact, you probably don't need an IDE most of the time, so it really comes down to which environment offers the best shell and that's either Linux or OS X. Sorry, I don't consider CMD or PowerShell worthy for comparison.
OS X isn't particularly great for graphic design or media unless you want to use Final Cut, Sketch or Affinity's line of Adobe alternatives.

Well i was always an android user. Really liked it always. Currently i had a chinese cheap Dooge phone and now i switched to 1+1. Muh Cyanogenmod
But meanwhile i had a chance to develop for iOS and i could try an iphone (6plus).
There are a lot of little flaws which makes the ios shit. For example
Some of the basic fancy animations lags
Using siri for 2-4 minutes and the phone gets hot
If you press the home button 5-6times in a row fast, it will play the app switcher animation 3-4times and you have to wait for those to end because the phone disables any touch meanwhile
Develop for ios is a pain in the ass with their mvc like framework, it is so deprecated at 2016
There are a lot of consistency problems with the translations in my case Hungarian language.
So overall it has a nice hardware but the os is just made for those who have money and doesnt have brain. And they pay more for less.
And if you compare an iPhone with an android then compare it with the Nexus ones because those arent bloated with touchwiz or something else

For anyone with even a mild interest in technology, Android is objectively better, there is no debate. I'm using a 5S right now too, it's a gimped piece of shit compared to my broken Nexus 5. Not having a proper file manager makes me want to rip my hair out. The phone is very beautiful and stable though, I'll give it that, but as someone who use's their phone as a laptop replacement, it just doesn't work with my lifestyle.
