if i buy 1000w psupply and my hardware needs just 600w to run will i pay double for consumed electricity or it will regulate itself to 600-700 and will it produce 2x more heat? asking because i plan to zen+1070 upgrade but now need replacemend for burned 500w

buy a well known brand, well reviewed model, at a wattage you will use about 80% of in your maximum consumption.
