Is going into IT/Programming worth it anymore?
Is age discrimination a huge thing? Pajeets taking all the jobs? Can you get a job in software development at 50+?
personally i'm planning on coding as my senior/semi-retired/DGAF career
seems like it's not that hard to get remote work if you're halfway decent
facebook isn't going to give you an internship but there's still lots of demand out there
just do machine learning and big data, seems like they'd hire a monkey if the monkey could do hadoop
nope. Pajeets and AI will take care of it
Be a dishwasher instead

I work as a sys admin, and I find it to be a good career.
I'm only 22 so I can't say much to age discrimination, but I can say the lower level work is starting to be outsourced.
If yiu are genuinely good at what you do there will always be a job for you.
you are screwed if you want to enter at 50
Actually just look young since they never ask for age (I guess when you graduated matter as well)
Meh, I've given up...
Doing the Investing meme to make sure I don't end up poor.
I'm a developer for a startup that I don't like. Can't wait to pay off my house so I can exit this fucking industry

I sure hope so. I'm leaving a job I hate to go back to school for CS. If I end up hating it just as much...

What field you in?

Not really entering at 50, but over 50 people that have been doing it for 20-30 years that get dropped because young workers do it for hotpockets
