What's the best video editing software for Linux?
I'm wannabe amateur casual video producer and editor and I just want to be able to do more simple video editing similar to that of most youtube channels.

Also what's the best MS paint clone? I'm looking for something simple that I can use to grab a number of images and mold them into bigger images composed of the two smaller images side by side, like you would do in 2 seconds using paint.

For casual editing, just use OpenShot. Is dead simple.

When you outgrow simplicity, you can go for Cinelerra-cv which is for professional use. But you said you want to be a youtuber? Most gaymers use Open Broadcaster Studio, but if is only for broadcasting you desktop use SimpleScreenRecorder.

For image editing go for RawTherapee, is fast.
