I have the T-Mobile Galaxy S7 non-edge (though if I could go back in time I might have gotten the Exynos international version but oh fucking well I guess) and I really love it. The S5 and S6 were kinda pieces of shit but I really feel like they nailed it with the S7; I wish it were made out of plastic instead of this very fragile glass, but the camera hump isn't so fucking obnoxious and it looks pretty good. Extremely smooth and probably the best camera I've ever owned, let alone smartphone camera, ever. Display is fucking gorgeous and battery life is excellent, after an 8 hour overnight shift of pretty moderate use (constant music, texts, browsing, light games during downtime, nobody is around to tell me to get the fuck off my phone after all) I'm still sitting at at least 65% when I go home.
I know the cool kids meme is >le touchwiz XD but Marshmallow TW is probably the best Android experience you'll get outside of stock, and for some people better than that. Just go to the theme store and apply one of the (free) Material themes of your choice and it looks and works great.
I told myself I'd never buy another flagship after liking my Moto G3 so much but Samsung (or I guess T-Mobile) lured me in with the cool bonuses, both of which I sold for a hefty discount on the phone itself, so it only ACTUALLY cost me about double what a budget would ($500, sold the netflix code and GearVR for $100 ea.) so I can't even complain about the price.
I can easily see myself keeping this phone for a good two years, more if the battery doesn't start shitting the bed after then, but it probably will. I really wish Samsung kept the removable batteries. That's my ONE complaint.
The S7 isn't really serviceable, that I know of, so there's no replacing it, I think? I could be wrong and hope I am.

Snapchat is optimized for iOS, i don't use the app so i'm just going to assume the app is slower/more power intensive on Android in general.
I feel like a fair amount of apps are made with iOS in mind, but the only major "normie" app I use is Groupme because it has an ok web client and works over SMS as well.

I don't get the outcry over the new Moto G4. Yall that mad over it being 5.5"? It looks good on paper, 1080p and SD617 are a good combo with 3,000mah. Not sure if the 16MP sensor in the Plus is a Sony since there's been talks of a shortage and higher pricing for them after natural disasters (could be the older IMX240, but I would assume it's the 2015 released IMX298 - same as the Xiaomi Mi5). If it's not a Sony I would hope it's an OV16860 since Moto is using laser assist autofocus and PDAF. The fronts all use a good 5MP OmniVision with 1.4µm pixels so selfies will look better than last gen.
The yuro prices seem a little high compared to the India launch.
If the Moto G4 Play uses the 13MP Sony IMX214 again, at least it will be capable of recording 2160p and have higher still image quality processing.
