Firefox or Chrome?
>>
Firefox.

Because Chrome is a botnet. Same reason why you don't use Windows 10.
>>
Firefox is trash / Chrome is too invasive. Use Opera
>>
Chrome.

Because Firefox is bad
>>
Chrome

Used to use FF exclusively for userstyles and because I didn't want google to know about all the tranny porn I browse, but I realized I was just being paranoid
>>
Firefox.
Renders pages faster
Developer tools are more user-friendly
Muh add-ons

The only gripe that I have about Firefox lately is that holding down page up when viewing source fucks up on Linux
>>
>>54588899
A mythical fox made of fire ( probably even immortal and most likely immaterial )
vs
a stupid designed robot that is obviously broke and going to fall any time soon ( look at electricity spikes )
>>
Firefox but to be exact the alpha version - Nightly, I had no problems with it on over a month and I tested it myself. Also there are many tests online for speed and other features - nightly it's at the top right now.
>>
>>54588899
sadly, chrome botnet for now
once firefox develops a browser that is faster than a snail i'll switch
>>
>>54588899
W3m
>>
>>54588899
firefox until the forced chromium comes in, then I'm probably just jumping ship to a firefox branch.

>>54589316
If you feel like you absolutely have to use Chrome for whatever reason, why not just use Chromium instead?
>>
Chrome works well but has shit font rendering so fire fox

>Firefox 46.0
>Try to clear history, but it crashes. (Later find places.sqlite was corrupted.)
>Reload browser, history still there. Rinse and repeat, I can't delete my history.
>Search Mozilla's support site as it flings a torrent of irrelevant dogshit in my face.
>Find and delete places.sqlite
>Go to Tools to change history settings. Can't fucking find it.
>It's in Edit. Right next to COPY, CUT, PASTE, SELECT ALL, and FIND. Things clearly dedicated to manipulating text in the browser. This isn't where a browser's settings go.
>Set history to NEVER REMEMBER.
>Try to edit cookies later, they don't show up in the menu. My browser starts LYING to me about what cookies my browser has stored, as if I can't see that I'm logged into Amazon.
>Later find out changing History to "never remember" forces Firefox into PRIVATE BROWSING, in which I can't edit my fucking cookies for some reason. All I did was change something about how my browser was supposed to store history.

What the fuck? Firefox was never so shitty. When did they start to fuck it up?

Chrome 64-bit version!

Firefox = Shit
Chrome = Shit
Chromium = Shit
Iceweasel = Pretty Gud
GNU Icecat = Best
WaterFox = Shit
Comodo = Meme
Pale Moon = Pretty Gud
>>
Listen to me, who the literal fuck is autistic enough to do art of two fucking browsers fighting?
>>
Firefox for security
Chrome for performance
>>
>>54590243
kek, I'm using Comodo right now

I like it because they are completely retarded and can't update it decently, so many crapware just doesn't run on it. Also, the sandboxing option is pretty good to open bizarre links without having my computer fucked.

In the future when I get some free time I pretend to make my own distro
>>
>>54590243
No Opera?
>>
>>54588899
that image sums it up, firefox is fighting against the botnet
>>
>>54590243
this guy literally fell for the palememe
>>
>>54589406
chromium already has botnet in it
>>
What happened to Vivaldi? How did it turn out?
>>
I have been using vivaldi since launch. Aside from having to re-install a couple of times because it got glitchy. I have had zero malware infections when scanning with ADW, JRT, and Malwarebytes. Opera and Vivaldi are WAY better than Chrome now. I had an infection just about every time I scanned before I uninstalled chrome from all my PCs.

What's wrong with Waterfox
>>
Currently using firefox developer edition, using test pilot mode for vertical tabs. Couldn't be happier.
>>
>>54589215
>there are many tests online for speed and other features - nightly it's at the top right now
Where are the links to the tests?
>>
Firefox. Only real problem I really had was that when I opened a new tab, you couldn't access the other tabs until it had finished loading but it's solved now what they implement multi-process.
>>
>>54590243
Never fucking heard of GNU Icecat before. what makes it best?
>>
Vivaldi
>supports Chrome extensions
>vertical/horizontal tabs
>tab stacking
>tiled tabs
>custom web panels on left/right
>you can hibernate background tabs
>can save/load tab sessions
>>
I use Firefox because it's the best one not made by google
>>
>>54588899
He didn't even say Chromium
>Free software or botnet?
>>
>>54593959
Even though it only exists because google fund them.

Modern firefox is complete and utter horseshit that is worse than Chrome in pretty much every single way while trying to desperately copy it.

The ONLY good thing is extensions, and even then most of them are shit.

Chrome.

I for one welcome our corporate overlords, and will reap the fringe benefits of being an early adopter when we are all enslaved.

chrome until sites start using html5 like they are supposed to

Is there anything like tree style taba for chrome?
>>
>>54600512
No vertical tab options at all, you're stuck with tabs on top.
>>
Chrome

Because Firefox is shit.
Because Opera is Chrome.
Because I haven't gotten around to try out Edge with extensions (which I hear are a thing now?).
>>
>>54600696
>using a lesser browser because a superior one is based on it
Wonderful logic
>>
>>54600711
Opera has never been a superior browser. In fact, prior to becoming "Chropera" I considered it full-blown malware.

Enjoy your Norwegian garbage.
>>
>>54588899
Firefox
>>
>>54588899
Firefox.
It's pretty fast, seldom crashes and I like the layout.

Chrome is to inefficient and despite it being marginally faster it's not worth it.
>>
>>54588899
I used firefox for a while, but then I noticed that my data would constantly be uploading around 100kb every minute so I moved to chrome, which was great. Until they implemented google accounts into everything.
>>
>>54593893
rms-approved memeware

it's just firefox with all of the pictures of fiery foxes removed and replaced with icy cats because the fiery fox pictures weren't licensed with GPL.
>>
I just switched back to chrome from firefox. Why is Firefox so shit nowadays? It's slow and stutters like hell.
>>
>>54599374
Only accurate answer thus far
>>
Firefox because it's the fuck you to corprate cucks like Microsoft, long live netscape
>>
I wish Google didn't just up and forget about 64-bit chrome. Shits fast, but

Vivaldi
>>

Do you use an SSD? What are your add-ons, what FF version, what's the slowest website compared to Chrome, and did you configure about:config properly?
>>
>>54589912
When they started to make it look like chrome.
>>
>>54600760
Real Opera is the best browser of all time. Chropera is just the best Chromium based browser.
>>
>>54593392
Just downloaded a vertical tab tree add-on. It is so fucking good.
>>

My brother of dark skin color.
>>
the brave browser is litterally the fasting thing I;ve ever used
>>
Quick, recommend me a 64-bit browser that has good plugin support (java, silverlight). I don't care how resource intensive it is really
>>
>>54588899
Safari is the best browser on OS X
Firefox stable is quite bad
I refuse to use Google products (except for their image search, there no one out there to beat them)
Firefox Aurora with e10s is on par with Safari on mac, so I switched.

Life is good.
>>
>>54602602
ff 64bit
>>
>>54593901
Can you finally take a tab into a new window? Last time I checked you couldn't
>>
>>54588899
is there any difference at this point?
