Only seventeen Raspi Zeroes were made worldwide, so let's talk about the next best thing.

>Basically $40 for a good touchscreen, battery, keyboard, and enclosure that fits in your pocket. Jesus Christ.
I think I'll set one up as a PirateBox, and have a Pocket for general use. I've also been wanting to dabble with PICO-8 for awhile, so that'll be nice.

>x86 for sub-$10
>>54573982
its a $9 computer dude wtf do u expect
>>54573967
I kind of want a pocket chip despite having literally no use for one.
C.H.I.P. is barely faster than the original Raspberry Pi.

An original RasPi was $35 and didn't come with on-board wireless, NAND, and was ARMv6@700MHz with less GPIO and 256MB of RAM. You got a whopping two USB ports, an SD slot, HDMI, and a 10/100 Ethernet port in a bulkier package. Those four things are literally the only advantages the OG Raspi has over C.H.I.P.
waiting on reviews for the keyboard
it looks like ass, but I'm interested in a nice portable computer besides my phone

Perhaps I wasn't clear. The original Raspberry Pi is slow as shit.
Just bought a PocketCHIP. Looks awesome. I was going to make something like this with my Pi but the screen alone would be almost as much as the PocketCHIP. Plus there is no easy solution for a keyboard. This thing is going to be sick.
>>54574345
A very astute observation, nigger. However, might I also point out
>$9
>>54574392
Seriously, the PocketCHIP just shat on nearly every hobbyist retailer's stock for these parts.
>320x240 resistive TFT - $35
>3.7V 2500mAh LiPo and hope it doesn't explode - $15
>Low-profile bluetooth keyboard - $15
>RasPi Enclosure - $5-$???
>RasPi 3 - $35 or RasPi Zero - """$5"""
>Total: At least $75 and time spent gutting, assembling, and possible money spent on other materials such as a soldering station, 3D printer, etc.
And most of these parts are of a worse quality than what the Pocket's shipping with. I won't devalue the DIY aspect of it, but goddamn I'm personally glad I didn't shell out for the parts for that portable clamshell Pi setup I had mulling about.
Ordered my pocket a few days ago. The hype is real.
Does anyone have a download link or a torrent for PICO-8? I'm getting a pocket chip but I'm not paying $20 for the emulator.
>>54575003
PICO-8 comes free with the CHIP, so no need to shell out $15. If you want it on WiLMaVox, well...Google is your friend. I wouldn't expect an up-to-date version floating around, though. PICO-8's been fairly obscure up until this point.

Comes with a built in backdoor free of charge!

>>54575253
That affects an older kernel, and a fork at that. Fuck your hysteria-bait.
>>54575253
This was already addressed by one of the developer's that the chip is not vulnerable.
