What is the best free VPN out there? I want to be able to turn it on and off whenever I want and be able to use it to just download free shit.
There are no good free VPNs.
But the best is this calculus textbook.
vpnbook works for me. I just wrote a shell script that grabs the latest public password.

OpenConnect is by far the best. Cisco Anyconnect is based off of it, and you can use openconnect to tap into any VPN (Including Cisco, obviously) http://www.infradead.org/openconnect/

I am hearing a lot of bad and some good about vpnbook because of it being free, because of its website being hosted in Romania, and more things. But everyone is also saying the owners live in Canada and it is freemium, so it is kinda more trustable than full free ones. I just wana know if this is really legit.
OP, I'm being serious here, using a free VPN is a bad idea if avoiding risk is your objective. You are essentially trading trust of your ISP to trust a bunch of shady dataminers instead. Plus speeds won't be as good, and since they log data they will just comply when asked. You might as well use no VPN at all lol

It's a pretty simple one. I used to use the cut command and then later realized that ever so often they might change the length of the password#!/bin/bash
