OSX is borderline okay in terms of some userland stuff. I enjoyed spotlight and their built in dictionary thing that uses the OED. Msft needs to step up their game and add an offline OED to Cortana
HFS+ is next level cancer though, I'd much rather cede my firstborn to NTFS if I had to pick.

Does it matter? You need to keep regular backups of your systems anyway. HFS+ has not given me any problems in real use (which is more than I can say for NTFS). On the tiny off chance it does suffer some catastrophic failure, I could be fully reinstalled and all data restored within ~2 hours.

Hackintosh works pretty well compared to years ago.
What I do currently is dual boot Windows and Hackintosh. I use OSX as my main operating system and replaced the Windows 10 shell with Big Picture.

not him, but i have a rMBP and a hackintosh. certainly the hackintosh is marginally less stable, but i rely on it to drive my external monitors and host several terabytes of data. i have very low tolerance for shit not working, so if it was more than *marginally* less stable than my rMBP, i'd switch back to some linux distribution
