I want to get into writing drivers for linux, I already know some C but how do i write drivers?
Do i need to just find some obscure hardware that doesn't work on linux and try to write a driver for it?
Dude, do you think anyone here knows more than python?

I dont gknow.
You don't want to write drivers. You want the leet prestige of saying you write drivers.
Operating Systems Design and Implementation by Andy Tanenbaum
I wrote some custom drivers for a special camera for an embedded linux application. It was shit, it took a long ass time and it was just about the worst thing I've ever had to do.
I've also written some "drivers" that are more like libs for arduino and .net micro for various ICs but that's baby tier shit. If you want to write drivers start there

Are you sure you want to write drivers? I've heard it's annoying as fuck
Why don't you better get into kerneldev? You get all the chicks there
