Ignore the edgy replies. Work on it , optimize images, add max width etc. Use /wdg/ for advice and learn more about SEO. Good luck
Chose a different font for the navbar, font looks basic and ugly, I don't know if it would've made a difference if you used comic sans
Use the dark green background color from the old page as the navbar's background color, change text color to white, with the active li to be the same colours as the old page's buttons. Keep the current background it looks cute.
On your homepage maybe you could move up the slideshow to be right below the navbar, I think it'd look better that way.
On the contact page (best one desu), I shouldn't have to scroll down just to see the store hours. How about google maps on the left portion of the page and have the contact information to right inside of a well?
Your products page could be like a gallery instead, there's a lot of scrolling down on that page for no good reason. This is a good example.

- Use contrast better (ex: header bar bg/fonts)
- Match the colour chromas

- Align your elements (ex: header, contact page)
- Add more spacing, it feels a cramped (front page Don's image, contact page's address line)
- Omit file extensions (eg folder-name/index.html, or otherwise reconfigure the server to do so)

But the old site has all info on 1 site. Whereas yours is spread out over 4 pages, all of which barely contain any info. You could get rid of the "Contact" page and add the info on "Home". That's probably the most important info anyway. And a "Contact" page doesn't seem right for it.

For your portfolio just do a bunch of generic example sites for different things. Take the site you did for him and turn it into some imaginary shop site, then do a few others for different kinds of businesses and organizations. Iterate on them overtime until they are pretty but also efficient as possible.
