>>

How? Because the pro has fingerprint scanner which I don't care about, but I do care about that extra gig of ram.

>>54544259
I just saw a guy on a review saying the battery was worse but maybe he got a defective battery.
>>
hi just ordered a redmi note 3 pro from gearbest
what method is best to use to unlock bootloader and what rom to flash?
thanks
>>
>>54544234
Dunno since the battery isn't as big as the rememes 3. I don't care much about intensive gaming, but it'd be important for it to have a good battery so I can watch movies, browse the Internet and play some games from time to time. Plus the mi4c is more expensive.
>>
>>54544259
>>54544273
Right, I assume the extra gig of RAM, 32GB and fingerprint scanner might consume a little bit more electricity but I don't think it will have a very meaningful effect on battery life. I think you can also turn the fingerprint reader off.
>>
>>54544284
>what method is best to use to unlock bootloader
You don't have much choice here, you need to ask Xiaomi to give you an unlocking code.

Which last year's flagship is best

Bootloop.

G4 ain't bad. People bitch about a boot loop though.

I'd get a Nexus 6p tbqh senpai. Galaxy s6 is good, but battery sucks.

Strangely enough, not a single pajeet talks about G4 bootloop issues on GSMArena. Planning to buy G4 myself - low price, great specs.

The Lumia icon was nice in 2014. But now the OS is abandoned and there are literally NO apps for anything. Even the 4chins apps aren't supported anymore

Plus the battery is getting worse
>>
>>54544513
That's why I recommended the 10 too. Touchjizz got better with the s7 my brother has it and is satisfied.

Bootloop - as far as I know, the neverending cycle of boot-up (power up/start).
>>
>>54544584

It's a good phone, the materials, design and the os are all great. It definitely is much more limiting than Android though, but man you almost never have to mess with it or force close anything or reset it, and that's a good feature in my book since I don't wanna be worrying about anything while I'm taking a shit.

shieeeeeet

does the v10 have this problem?

what is with LG not being able to make a phone without a giant flaw

G2's screen would stop working after a year
G3 overheated
G4 bootloop
G5 probably has some giant flaw too
>>
>>54544660
>does the v10 have this problem?
No, it's supposedly fixed. then again, paying ~$500 for an SD808 phone is quite lame.
>>
>>54544658
But it's so cheap

Last year's flagship for only 200 bones
>>
>>54544660
G4's bootloop is fixed, calm down. If you'll look only on flaws you won't buy a single damn phone, because each one has it's issues.
>HTC overheats and generally overpriced.
>Samsung has RAM management problems and lags with its Touchwizz.
>Sony is fragile with average-tier camera and some overheating issues.

It is absolutely not a problem considering how powerful and cheap this device is. Can't complain. I don't like 5.5" phablet-type display size either, but hey, I have no choice and again - it's cheap. I don't like QHD screen resolution that just sucks battery power like a vampire.

I'm not a fan of the 2K screen meme either

Why can't people just make a 5 inch or less phone with a 1080p screen and a 3000 or greater mAh battery

no instead we get these placebo screens that fucking rape and pillage your battery life
>>
>>54544802
>Why can't people just make a 5 inch or less phone with a 1080p screen and a 3000 or greater mAh battery

They exist if your'e willing to go the way of the chinkphones.
>>
>>54544802
Well, they try avoiding "the sweet spot" i.e. making average phone with 5-5.2" screen paired with 1080p screen, 2/3GB RAM, 16/32GB internal + SD, good battery and etc. So either people buy flagship with price around 600-700 euros or some crap for 200 euros. I see lots and lots of new and olders models and yet I struggle to pick the one that fits my needs the best. Something is always a con.
>>

As far as I remember it was to do with older models. But generally, metal back will hold the heat in itself, so yeah, may occur some little overheating. Have no info on M10, since I wasn't even planning to buy it, so haven't look for reviews or feedback.

I've had mine less than 24h so this isn't much indication, but the only time it felt hot was when charging, and when i was installing stuff it was warm on the back like someone else's hand or something. Not uncomfortable, didn't make my hand sweat.

Amazon Fire Phone

Pros
>Basically paid 30 dollars for it

I feel you, m8. Ordered an iPhone yesterday for the same reason. It's the last OS I haven't tried. Half of the M$ apps it had preinstalled a year ago don't even work anymore.

Out of all the flahships this year I keep thinking the HTC 10 is the best one. It's android is nearly stock, it's not built out of recycled plastic like the G5 and fuck touchwiz.

>>54544240
And if you want hardware and software, Android.

From what I hear, the general quality of the apps for the iOS is still higher than that for Android. Needless to say, the more unusual apps don't/can't exist for it.
>>
>>54545503
It depends. Social media apps like snapchat, instashit work better on ios. Everything else works fine on android.
>>
>>54545580
One thing I am not very happy about is that iOS does not support custom quiet hours set by the calendar. Actually, I'm quite surprised it doesn't, considering that it's the kind of feature anyone with a job would find very useful.

>Nexus 5X

Pros: fingerprint unlock, Comfy size, opens captive portals for wifi instantly, charges really fast when plugged into outlet, + everything else modern Android phones have

Cons: takes forever to turn on (like 3-4 minutes), phone comes with USB-C to USB-C only, had to buy my own cable from best buy to plug into PC to put music on, can't really think of any other cons

I upgraded from a note 3 on Sprint to this phone on project fi, I love this phone.

I've had a g5 for two weeks. Got a free battery and free 3d camera with it. It's a great phone. Super responsive and great cameras, fingerprint reader etc...

Battery could last longer. They use a really small battery.

Snapdragon 808 is fine m8 and way better than anything in a shitty moto g.

But I want the satisfaction of knowing that I'd be the only person I'd know or have seen with a Sony Xperia Z5.
I pride myself on being the only one with a thing. And not a shitty thing either.
It's just Sony is doing one hell of a fucking job keeping me from acquiring said phone.

>Post a mini-review of your phone
Nexus 6P. Pretty damn good phone if you ask me, haven't rooted yet, but thinking about putting the N preview on it for the luls. Battery life is decent, I take it off charge around 9am and it's maybe at ~30% when I get back home.

Camera is pretty amazing, especially seeing as how RAW support is coming.

Only wish there were more accessories for it though, like Otterboxes and whatnot.

>>54548777
Socialshit apps kill pretty much every phone because they're really badly coded and insist on running and draining juice 100% of the time no matter how hard you try to kill them.
Something like a Z3C would probably work in that price range but don't expect miracles.

>galaxy note 4
Samsung updates suck ass. Touchwiz was an old version and garbage. Not even new features from the note 5. Flashed a debloated note 5 rom and no lag anywhere. Pictures are good.I don't take selfies. >lmaofaggot.jpg It's basically a note 5 with a removable back with sd card/battery swapping abilities. Still hate touchjizz. Had cm13 on it and battery life sucked. Other than that i loved cm13. Maybe features were lacking compared to touchwiz but it was fixed with a few 3rd party apps. Next phone will be a sexus or htc. Phone is solid and built like a fucking tank. I get a new phone in December as well.

I don't care about fingerprint scanners. My GS3 doesn't have one, nor do I feel it's required.
Plus I don't want NSA owning my fingerprints.

Camera hardware is best (2nd highest rated dxomark score), but software is lacking. Hoping for an update to correct that, but manual mode turns out great images.

Overheating was fixed with updates. Even then 810 overheats regardless, and until they make a Z5+ or something with an 820 or something, I'll overlook it for the visual aesthetics of the phone itself.

Don't really care about volume button placement.

overall it's very nice, good build quality and all. front camera is weird about lighting sometimes and gets fuzzy. rear camera is good but looks weird in snapchat when you zoom in a bunch (because it doesn't switch modes I guess)
there's a bit of lightleak on the edges of the screen but it's usually not noticeable
other than that, extremely responsive and has great battery, etc.

It would suffice for those apps as they're well optimized on the iPhone.

Keep in mind the 1GB RAM means switching a lot between them would mean they will die often.

No matter where you buy it, there's ye likelihood the rom isn't legitimate. It's because they flash their own "global" versions with all languages, but they can be unofficial.
