How long will my Internet work for?
I live in a built up area and a lot of people use the Internet every day, how long will the fiber optics last before they wear out from heavy daily use?

Yes
Your internet speed should improve with age. You see the light causes friction with the glass fibres. Over time this smooths the glass and causes the light to go faster thus making your transfers faster. This is why it was common to have 1.5meg DSL in the past but now you can get 20meg DSL. it's because the fibre is polished smooth over time.

>light moving faster then the speed of light.
>light polishes glass
I'll be honest. I've been on this site for almost 10 years.
And this is hands down, the most retarded comment I have ever read.
Screen capped, taking this back to my home board of /sci/.

As long as it doesnt get chopped up or crimped or damaged in anyway it will usually last a VERY long time
