I've had a Moto G for two years after /g/ told me to buy it and it's been really great but I feel like I need a new phone now and want something similar as in around $200 and great for the price and easily rootable.
Does this fit the bill or not? Is there something better?

The nexus 5 is a power user phone. If you liked the simplicity, dependability, battery life, etc. Of the moto g then you are not going to appreciate the nexus 5.
The nexus 5 chugs battery like no other and has a junky camera. If you're not going to be messing with ROM's and tweaking the hell of of your phone, then you're not gaining much by buying the nexus 5.
Hell of nothing else you should hold of for a deal on a nexus 5x or something.

I've been using it since launch, no problems thus far aside from a bit of slow down. Solid/10 phone if you're not in it for the gimmicks.
