Careful how you aim that shit at your car. I've seen people tear paint off their cars with pressure washers. All it takes is for the water blast to hit a small chip in the paint or a deep scratch.

Actually I don't know if it's harmful for the eyes or something, but I asume it's not. But you can never be careful enough with cheap chinky shit.

I doubt that little thing is anywhere near what sunlight can do, but I suppose if you held it in one spot for many hours you might be able to get a little sunburn. I certainly wouldn't shine it in people's eyes or my own though.

I thinks it's wavelength is higher than the wavelength the sun emits or is used in those solariums. So it should cause no harm, still I don't really know as this flashlight was pretty cheap.

You shouldn't need a UV light to tell when your mother is covered in shit though unless she's Indian, and if she is Indian you can take a pretty educated guess at the answer without even needing to see her, much less shine a UV torch on her.

What color should I get? I like the grey.
>>
>>54500572
I'm currently in the process of building one.
You just need the following parts:
>A frame (A starting frame should probably be around 250mm) $5 to $15
>Four brushless motors (High kv aprox 2300kv ones are cheaper but lack torque) $15 to $25
>Four props (two blade is better, three is possible if lower kv motors are used, cheap as shit for plastic ones, carbon gets a tad more expensive) 1 to 5$
>Four ESCs (with a 5v regulator if possible) 8 to 20$
>A controller (Naze32 or CC3D) 4 to 8$
>A battery (Check whether your motors support the amount of cells) 10 to 20$
>Transmitter and receiver (Turnigy and Fly Sky spring to mind) 30$
>Lipo Balance Charger (Turnigy has a pretty decent one, watch out for shitty fakes) 20$
>Misc shit like wires, connectors and straps around 3$
>>
>>54500740
>>54500702
I'm still here anons, all of them auctioned items were sent but my camera gimbal was "returned from the post office to the sender"

The low price was partially because I already had some stuff laying about.
Starting from scratch gets a tad more expensive due to the rather expensive receiver and charger.

Coming from a phone that couldn't even last 12 hours if I used it for anything other than messaging this thing is fucking amazing.

Screen is set to maximum auto-controlled brightness.
My usage so far consisted of basic browsing, messaging and an occasional mosh session in JuiceSSH. I have WhatsApp, Slack, Skype and mail with push sync running in the background.

At one point I downloaded and played one race in Asphalt 8 because I've seen it in reviews.
Shit game. It does stutter but it's perfectly playable. I didn't try lowering the settings, I just outright deleted it.

Google Calendar skips frames quite a bit in the schedule view with all the fancy parallax and image fading when you scroll a lot.
Other than that I didn't notice stuttering in Firefox and such.

Hoping to get rid of this MIUI bullshit once I get my unlock request approved.

Help me decide /csg/

My Shield tablet is dying so I am looking for a replacement. I am interested in the Chuwi Hi8 Pro but I am worried about the negative reviews I have seen. I am also interested in the Redmi Note 2, but the price being double my first option is putting me off somewhat. Is the difference in build quality between the two devices worth the extra coin? I am aware that this is something of an apples to oranges comparison but I consider any extra money spent to be worth it if the device's lifespan would improve.

Okay, here is a guide of how to prevent Firefox and Chrome from killing your KingMeme SSD:

Today I just realized that my KingMeme had 700GB written on just 7 fucking days! I had optimized my system for a SSD but never took into account how heavy on writes internet browsers were until today, but I have fix so don't worry, if you do this you will go from Image A (1000MB of writes in 6min) to image B (10MB of writes in 5min), that's 100 times lower!

First Chrome:

I just moved the cache folder using a shortcut after creating before hand the folder Cache and Chrome on my HDD:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --user-data-dir="D:\Cache\Chrome

Pretty easy, no profiles were fucked by doing this.

Now Firefox:
Type on your browser: "about:support" and then click [Show Folder] on the page that loaded, you can now close Firefox.

Now copy the folder than opened when you clicked [Show Folder] to the HDD location of your selection example: "D:\Cache\Firefox"

Now click on your Winblows startup and type: "%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\" on the folder that opens, make a backup of your profiles.ini, and edit the original with the following info:

Change 1 to 0 on "IsRelative=0"
Add the path of your new folder on the corresponding line, example "D:\Cache\Firefox\ProfileofPonylover2000", save the file and you're done.

Incredible how much Chrome and Firefox wear-down SSDs while just idling.

If you don't have a HDD, then you're fucked, I guess you could use a Shark but it could result on poor performance of your browsers.

What are you even doing on this board?

As long as you've fallen for the 8GB RAM meme just start chromium as /usr/bin/chromium --disk-cache-dir=/dev/null --media-cache-dir=/dev/null

If you're using firefox just type sudo apt-get remove --purge firefox && sudo apt-get install chromium then follow step 1 above.

Half of one at least, still waiting on keyboard.

Initial thoughts if anyone gives a shit:
Wall adapter doesnt have holes in prongs for US outlets to make better contact but it didnt explode after charging for an hour.

USB C cable feels decent, like a 10$ one that will last awhile.

Tablet itself feels nice to swipe on, screen protector that was pre-attached has a small air bubble near the corner, not a big deal. Box itself was dented a bit on the corner but the bubble wrap and padding inside the box itself protected it.

Instructions (while unnecessary) are complete gibberish and comically bad in their translation.
