Literally it only beats it in VR, and that's most likely because of Nvidias new proprietary VRWorks.
Dunno, I doubt Pascal is going to be that much faster than it. I'd be surprised to see a Stock 1080 beat a stock 980 Ti by even 15% in a GPU heavy non-VR workload (something like Crysis 3 or RotTR).
Either way I'm sure after a few months and a handful of WHQL releases the 980 Ti will be performing much worse than even the GTX 1070 thanks to Nvidia's classic forced obsolescence.
