I decided to "breathe new life" into a really shitty old black friday laptop. My question for /g/ is:

What would be your choice of video player for a laptop this shitty. Preferably with the ability to stream from a URL.

VLC is a good choice. If you haven't already, upgrade the RAM and drop an SSD in there. A cheap CPU upgrade is also a good idea.
