Need a good Bluetooth speaker for ~$100. I know fuck all about speakers. Recommendations? Thoughts on Bose Sound link Color?

Portable speaker or soundbar?
Get a BoomBot Rex. It's the greatest speaker I've ever bought. Luckily I got it on sale on some skate website for $60-ish. The battery lasts about 9 hours, and it's durable as fuck. Also comes with a neat clip on the back and a 1 year warranty. Pic related, mine
Just picked up a JBL Flip 3 a week ago and its pretty damn impressive for a $84. I would highly recommend.
Only complaint I have it it almost seems to have too much bass at times.

I can't attest for the SoundLink Color, but I have the SoundLink Mini II and this thing blows me and every one of my friends away whenever they hear it. It's damn near impossible to believe that a tiny thing like that can sound like a full featured mini stereo or a nice desktop speaker system that would usually need a subwoofer to get deep tones like it does. So if that's anything to go by (maybe look at comparisons between the two) it might not be a bad buy.
I hear good things about UE's stuff too, and maybe the Creative Soundblaster Roar. Some people have said the AmazonBasics speaker is alright at $60 too.
I'd reccomend the Big Jambox. Its ~$150 new, but the volume coming out of it fucking bangs. Not the level of quality you'd get out of a full fledged system of course, but extremely solid nonetheless for a bluetooth speaker. Lasts around 12 hours for me and looks great on a desk or table.

IP87, rugged as fuck. 100% dust/dirt proof, water proof in all situations except total submersion under pressure. Will survive being dropped in the pool, probably won't survive being left there all day.

And build your own box.
This is what I did, except I've got two 12 in. subs hooked up to mine.
