which one is the good one
these both look disgusting
Battery-free, energy-harvesting keyboards when?
>>54453310
I forgot. The only keyboards /g/ thinks are good are monstrosities older than they are.
>>54453269
honestly they're very good keyboards desu
Why does apple keep making these peripherals in white / light grey colours, like they're supposed to be used by magical fairies or by Snow white?
>>54453361
They're like rMBP keyboards but worse. The magic trackpad 2 is also underwhelming. Even on "firm" it hardly has any click. The clicking feels fake very often.
>>54453269
Are they even mechanical?
>>54453415
i love rmbp's keyboard tho, specially when compared to most other laptop keyboards. lenovo's is the only one's i prefer, on their new thinkpads.
magic keyboards are nice, i think they should have added backlit keys tho
>>54453421
lol
>>54453421
scissor switches
>>54453533
Disgusting. At least they are constant with their design, it looks like shit and it's also technically shit
>>54453269
How do you even home/end?
>>54453623
I dunno. I alternate between cherry blues and topres myself and while I vastly prefer those, apple chiclets really aren't bad. Much better than the average laptop keyboard and definitely preferable to the typical mushy cheap rubberdome board.
>>54453269
which is the newer one
the left one has a better aesthetic appeal at the very least
>>54453729
Left is the newer one. It replaces the older model's two AAs with a lithium-ion battery and a lightning port that can both charge the keyboard as well as make it operate in USB mode.
Actually it's the only board I know of that lets you choose between USB and Bluetooth
>>54453727
cmd+right/left
>>54453773
Even TKL is too many keys now.
And why does this new keyboard even have SCR LK and PAUSE.
>>54453759
whoa really? i didn't know they worked with usb, thought that was just for charging. go apple. kinda makes you question the retarded port placement for the mouse even more tho
>>54453269
>This changes everything.
including productivity
in the downward trend
>>54453269
why did they keep the eject button when new imacs don't have optical drives?
>>54453793
Well let's be real here. I bet a lot more mac users stick with the stock keyboard than they do the stock mouse. I've seen a lot of third party mouse + apple keyboard combos out there. There's also gonna be folks buying Apple BT KBs for their iPads and Apple TVs, and that can't be said of their mice.
Apple probably knows this and is more willing to make big changes to KB manufacturing than they are to do the same for mouse manufacturing.
I actually have the older model of all the accessories and wanna cop the new touchpad, idk if the keyboard and mouse are even worth the price tag.
I like the fact that the keyboard is like I'm typing on the rMBP and the mouse is pretty good on OS X, but I can totally understand why people don't like its form factor.
>>54453870
you're probably right. also i always felt like os x is much better to work with using a trackpad than a mouse.
>>54453896
Yeah, especially with force touch. Right now if you order a desktop mac, it ships with a trackpad by default. I bet they're watching the numbers on how many people change that to a mouse or order a mouse later, and depending on those numbers the mouse may vanish entirely.
Booth look fucking gay
>>54453945
>Right now if you order a desktop mac, it ships with a trackpad by default.
Bullshit, I had to pay more to get my magic trackpad.
>>54453945
Nah nigga it ships with the mouse and if you wanna switch to trackpad they charge you an extra fee, the trackpad is almost twice the price of the mouse.
>>54453793
The keyboard just about never moves, so that cord is far less likely to get in the way than the one on mice.
>>54453976
>>54453978
Well shit, that must've changed. Could've sworn it was trackpad by default at some point.
>>54453997
Probably with the last gen of accessories, I think those were both priced equally.
>>54453987
still doesn't explaing having a charger port UNDER the mouse making it completely unusable during charging. i know it has a long battery life and doesn't take a long time to recharge but that's still pretty retarded.
>>54453945
i don't think that's true, it's still shipping with mouse and keyboard. trackpads are extra
>>54454014
It takes like a minute to charge it enough to last the rest of the day. Try using that moment to stand up, stretch, and empty your piss bottles.
>>54453269
So, it's thinner and lighter, you can't change the battery, the arrows are a bit more uncomfortable, and the F-keys don't feel any different from the numbers anymore.
Yes, quite revolutionary.
>>54454461
>the arrows are a bit more uncomfortable
Fucking how? The arrows are the one thing they improved about the keyboard. Those fucking half height right and left arrows were straight up retarded.
>>54454568
Fix the half height up and down and you got a deal.
>>54453269
Pub hair on right arrow
>>54454801
I didn't notice that -- that is a truly innovative feature, and ought to make it appeal to the Mac audience.
>>54453351
wtf are you talkin about those are sexy as fuck
>>54453364
because it's their image. It's recognizable and it sells
>>54453269
my god
its so magical
>>54453623
haters gunna hate. I like scissor keys.
>>54453364
females who like to think they're pure
and homosex people who like minimalist clean feels after anal sex
really like them
>>54455378
>ergonomic design
>>54453351
>I'd rather have a good looking key board then a nice feeling keyboard
>>54453796
Tell me how your keyboard is better than the ergonomic + portable master piece the Apple one shown
>>54455445
>his hands haven't bolted into splitting pain
pleb
which one is supposed to be the good one?
at least the eject button is still around
>>54453269
where are the f keys?
>>54453351
Holy shit I just came hard simply looking at this image
Those are some goddamn sexy keyboards, 10/10 to whoever owns them.
>>54456066
Look closer
>>54455445
I have bitch hands and a shitty desk layout at work, need stuff to make up for it
