Look in all the dictionaries.

There is no word for what we do.

It's not 'tradition', though our craft is timeless.

'Limitless' is too limiting.

'Enduring' is not enduring enough.

'Innovation' can only begin to describe it.

We sculpt, paint and explore.

But explorers, sculptors, and painters we are not.

This is the only thing we make.

The only thing we will ever make.

There is no word for what we do.

There is only a way.

The Rolex Way.

Find out more at www.rolex.com or your local Rolex authorized dealer.

Why is Omega still alowed to use space shit in their marketing when the only current speedmaster certified for use is the abomination that is the x33?
The Casio DW5600 and the Timex Ironman are also certified by NASA but it's never mentioned unless you specifically look it up. Does Omega have a marketing deal with NASA or something?

I'm curious too. I really like the GMT-Master and I don't really like most other GMT watch designs that I've seen, but I don't particularly want a total GMT-Master ripoff like a Steinhart or Squale or whatever. I already have a Steinhart Submariner ripoff and it's a really nice watch but I just don't like wearing it, personally.

I wish Rolex 1675s didn't cost like $10,000+

Same problem here. I just don't want to wear a g shock all the time or resort to wearing two watches. I mean I could use my phone to check the different time zones, but that's kind of why I want to get a gmt watch in the first place.

I am going to return the accutron I got a week or two ago. It was advertised as running, but it will not run most of the time, and when it does there is a lot of resistance. I will probably try to find another one with a similar cushion case.
>>
>>54437768
From the two of them, I'd prefer the UTC, since the dial cooler and less clipped.

You should definitely try going to the AD first. You might get a discount or he may be able to order one for you. I this doesn't pan out, then order it thru amazon, so you're more protected.

Not simply, for good reasons.

It's cheap quartz watch, with a shitty cyclops, and Invicta smeared all over the case, dial and bracelet.

The penis Quartz that people have been talking about are pretty good, because they are Quartz they are very reliable. A King quartz is arguable the most desirable of these you can get them for between $75-$200

Im going to sell one for $65 if you are interested, not in amazing condition though

If you don't get this question answered to your satisfaction ask again, their will be a few people who can help you out

Seiko lord matic and lord marvels are pretty good, can't give you all that much detail about them though

I used to own a SKX007, but the comparison is between the NY0040 and the SKX and has nothing to do with the BN0150 FYI.

Comparison is rather straightforward, the NY0040 wears a lot smaller thus a lot more comfier to wear.

Cosmetically the indexes are a lot nicer on the NY0040, handset is better on the SKX, lume is equal, crystal is better on the SKX. NY0040 bezel's is a lot easier to grip, though the 120click bezel on the SKX is hard to beat.

>>
>>54444920
I've ghetto opened a lot of watches with screwed casebacks, but if you care about it then fair enough.

I like how plain the watch looks though, and i guess it should work if you take it to a watchmaker for some proper servicing.
>>
>>54444949
Thing is I have no idea if it's even worth it.
No idea how much it's worth, and I'd have to change the strap too (it's just destroyed).
I currently have an Orient Defender so I just don't know if I'd even wear this one.

I just wanted to get some info about it
How do you open watches like this? Screw? Pull?
Most I've done is change battery and strap on Casios
>>
>>54445016
I removed the strap and springbars, used the rubber grip of an electrical pliers (thick grips) to grip the case where the strap was and apply pressure with a steel tool to unlodge the caseback.
>>
>>54445016
With a screw down caseback like that a ball of duct tape should work. If you can't get it open with that it might be rusted and you should just leave it to a professional.

"So, what makes the Frogman, with its unique, asymmetrical case, a diver? For starters, each one is individually tested to 25 percent beyond its stated water-resistance rating."

200 X 1.25 != 1000.

If the Frogman had 1000M water resistance Casio would put that on the dial because it would be fucking amazing and a huge selling point. They don't because it doesn't.

Who gives a fuck anyway? You aren't going to 1,000m or 200m in your life. Any ISO dive watch is going to far surpass your needs.
>>
>>54445802
You asked for the cheapest watch that goes under 1000m. I gave you one.
And no not all certified dive watches can do that, an analog watch will stop because of the crystal pressing down on the hands.
The frogman obviously doesn't have that problem.

Tested != real life performance
And I know what, this retard above was asking.
>>54445824

Sure the speedy pro was certified before because it was more or less the only watch that was rugged enough.
The only watches that are certified to be brought on the ISS now are a couple of G-shocks, the Timex Ironman and the datalink version of that in the early 2000's and the x33.
Other countries just like the astronauts take whatever the fuck they want actually.
There isn't a single "traditional" speedy in space right now, despite what Omega would have you believe.

This and the snow frake. Although I actually plan on saving up for the latter, I don't think the bleu will be in my reach anytime soon.

>That's complete fucking bullshit and you know it. I already explained why
Pic related, an analog dive watch exceeding four times its depth rating before failing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmqoq3LIDmM
You're a fucking retard.
>I was talking in the present
Nothing has changed since 2008, retard, same watches, same equipment. Don't make me dig through the NASA archives just for one autist.
>And I gave you the cheapest one that can go below 1000m
But that's a diving watch, not a diver. I asked for the cheapest 1000m diver. I want to pay for their sexual services, but not too much. Please, you should take what people say literally, word by word.
>>
>>54446697
Noted.

So we have one retarded shill, whos trying to turn off people from buying Casio?

>>54446706
5600 series as well.
>>
>>54446713
Oh my god you're clinically brain dead
You posted a video of a 1000M rated diver. No fucking shit it's going to go down that far.
You said any diver can by far exceed it's rating.
By diver most people refer to 200m rated watches.
Then you post a video of a fucking marinemaster you utter mongoloid. >>54446713
>But that's a diving watch, not a diver.
It's a fucking dive watch you daft cunt.
It's an actual proper dive computer actually, because no sane human will only use a watch bezel as his only diving tool in 2016
Go fuck yourself you absolute retard.

Honestly more people are posting Casios and discussing them ever since I started "shilling"
There is one or two retards that post the worst g-shocks though
>>54446706
The whole 5000 series is excellent, so are the Rangeman and the Frogman.
Your example actually kinda sucks because it's more than triple the price of the normal 5600 just because it's JDM

Mostly because there aren't enough people to fill a digital watches thread, so the few guys who were regulars there migrated here.

I don't mind if you want to do light shilling, just quit trying to become another fucking ecofag.

>>54446835
Might as well, have quite a few to dump. Should we go 1 by 1?

3133, and those chronograph levers are so sexy when working.

Oh don't get me wrong, It's an excellent watch, and if it wouldn't be redundant in my collection I would have bought it. The negative version of that is even better.
I'm saving up for a Rangeman currently, and I really hate that the JDM one is more than twice the price just for an inverted piece of polarizing plastic on the LCD. Fucking importers I swear

So anyway, what's the cheapest watch that has "1000m" written on the dial? Or a bigger number with and "m" after it?
>>
>>54446949
Why does Casio make its watches with cases this big and ugly?
They look like cheap chinese toys.
>>
>>54447010

If you're retarded maybe
Gshocks are made that way to be as weather, environment and retard proof as possible
You should get one anon

Borealis has a 4000m model, who knows if it can actually survive that shit though.

Jesus, why? That thing must be a BITCH to engage. Nice movement otherwise, what watch is this for?

>>54446938
This pic reminds me why I love hand-winding movements... just look at all the neat shit you can see. How are these commiegraphs for reliability and durability? 23 jewels is not a lot of bearings to have in something with so many moving parts, is it?
