Anyone know why my image files appear corrupted, they all have data because they're each different sizes but the thumbnail is non existent and when I try to open the file it fails to read it.
They were taken from one my iCloud backup and this occurs for nearly every one of them.

They are not corrupt. You don't have the proper permissions to read the files. Read about taking ownership of files in Windows.

Funny thing you should say that. Back in the year 2006-2008, if you called neck on someone it meant you got to slap them on the back of the neck. If you called stroke on somoene you would quickly swipe your fingers across the back of their neck in a manner so that it is painful. open one of the files in an hexeditor (even notepad is fine)
if you can open them with that, them post screenshot of that here, if you can't open them you need to "take ownership" of the folder and the contents (you can google that shit)
