Nvidiot here. Is the grass really greener on the other side? Windows 10 and dx12 are gaining a lot of popularity it seems. Should I make the switch to red team?
Currently on a gtx 670.

I went from a gtx 260 to a gtx 670, don't remember what I had before that.
I'm curious to try AMD

I've swapped between the two most of my life, there's no discernible difference except a few minor, annoying bugs on both sides.
I bought a 620 for Linux support once. Turns out that running virtualbox would make nvidia drivers crash x. Catalyst (the configuration software for AMDs drivers) used to crash games. Both of these are fixed now but you'll probably run into bugs no matter which one you pick. Only real difference is the price performance ratio.

Amd is a wine that get better as it ages, while nvdia is a great tasting wine when you open it. But as time passes it gets worse.
If you want instant gratification on a card that will devalue through years as well ad performance go nvidia. If you want a card that devalues, but reaches it peaks through the end with you go and.
i went from r9 280 to gtx 970

It is pretty sick and works well with dx12
It is worth the price and will work for another 3-4 years
