Hey there /g/ I was wondering if there was a material that could absorb light projected onto it and retail the light that was given without effecting anything else on the material, I had an idea for a machine but have no idea if something like that is possible or in the market already.
a black body?

Can you elaborate? Your wording is confusing me but my interest has been peaked.

Yeah, it's called a fucking photocell and a fucking solar panel.
>>54419919
Im looking at that now, does it require it to stay at a certain temperature?
>>54419886
photocells should do this. Moreover, you could copy the plants's structure of their chloroplasts somehow, or use co2 for energy. If you really wanted to, you could get energy via chemosynthesis.

That's incredibly smart sounding i have a good idea for this which i don't want to say for obvious reason if it could take off but the problem is I have no idea how to go about researching this kind of thing

I wonder if “I have an idea but I can't tell you about it” is an entry on some list of “how to troll /g/”
I swear, we get clueless morons like these so often, it's almost unnatural. The setup is always the exact same: Somebody has an idea but needs help implementing it since he's clueless, but when asked he can never tell the details in case some NEET on /g/ “steals” it.

Yeah that's a good point actually.

>retail the light
When used as a verb, retail means "sell". You're selling light?

I meant retain sorry

Not per se, look into Wein's law
