Well, that's unfortunate. Chose the wrong time to buy it.

I need:
Official Cm13 support (not random pajeetrom 0.3 pooinloo edition)
Physical buttons (like the s3)
Amoled ~5.2" screen

Basically a bigger s3 with a snapdragon and a bigger battery

The oneplus x and the galaxy s5 look good, i would also get a nexus 5x if the cm13 support is good enough

Anything to suggest?

i had this phone for a bit, i loved it when I first got it. soon, after power using it almost everyday for about half a semester it started getting slow and annoying, camara was never particularly flattering for snapchat which I use a lot, eventually it got so buggy I had to rreset it. I made sure this time not to do anything remotely scetchy with any chink malware software. It kept being slow and thermal throttling.

Eventually i gave into the applel meme and have been much more satisfied ever since especially with snapchat and the camera overall, the only issue is that GBA emulators were slightly harder to get.

I use my phone for only a few select things so it works out. Twitter, texting, pictures, gps, music, and internet browsing. Im kinda sick of phone emulation so idc anymore about that so this phone fits my needs perfectly. I cant take itunes though so i cant go Apple, especially when their new Apple Music subscription plan deletes music off your pc's hard drive.

Ive had my LG V10 for a few months now.
Solid phone. Nice and big like I like.
The extra screen thing at the top is kinda nice for seeing who texted me without the whole screen lighting up.
Downside of the extra screen is I have to put my phone face down at night otherwise the extra screen will stay on and just drain away.

Great camera. Only gripe is it takes photos upwards of 10mb so I have to crop photos to post them to 4chan.

Here's just some random photo I took with it.

Note 3 -

Pros -
- Screen is pretty nice, full 1080p
- Meme pen is cool if you're a drawfag or like the feelings of hand writing text
- Battery life is acceptable, about 12 hours of moderate-heavy use on a full charge with default battery
- Lots of accessories
- Is old enough to be had new/used for cheap but new enough not to be a piece of shit
- Performance is great, no real slow downs even in demanding applications
- Physical home button

Cons -

- Quiet. Phone calls aren't very loud. Speaker is acceptable.
- TouchJizz
- Laptop big
- The screws in the back randomly come loose every couple of months so the GPS stops working until you tighten them
- Probably won't get any more updates

Overall I like it. I don't buy new or cutting edge phones so it serves my purposes just fine. Got it for like $150 in almost mint condition.
People who feel like they HAVE to have the absolute newest phone to browse Facebook on are fucking retarded.

First time on the board/thread, so I know I'm about to get memed on hardcore

I had a droid maxx 1, and I loved it, battery lasted forever, but I broke it and bought a HTC one Remix.

2 and a half hours of using it and battery is already like 55%.

Asking co-workers, they all say they'll hit zero if they are on their all work day and it blew my mind.

Was I spoiled as fuck with my droid?
Do those cases with the battery packs work well?

I hope I didn't trigger anyone with my newness.

Posted it as a reply to the OP in a thread about the Sony Xperia Z5, but since there is no Z5 review yet, I'll post it here too:
I have a Z5 and it's pretty good imo. It has this annoying thing though, that if the internal storage (32 GB) is 75% full then it nags you with notifications to transfer your shit to the SD card, even if there is no SD card in the phone. It can't be turned off in settings, but luckily you can turn it off using a single ADB command (ADB is part of the android SDK).
The camera is pretty good obviously, it can record 4K/30 FPS, FHD/60 FPS and 720/120 FPS, the only thing it's lacking is support for the camera 2 API in the stock ROM, meaning you can't take raw photos, for example.
Also, the fingerprint sensor is pretty convenient and it works well in my experience. It is in the power button, not in some retarded place like the back of the phone.
Battery life is good, and it has stamina mode, which basically turns off Wi-Fi and 4G when the phone is locked, but it does so in a clever way, so you don't have to wait for the reconnection when you wake your phone. It's pretty convenient, considering my friend always puts his phone manually into airplane mode to save battery. Obviously this means no messenger notifications, which may be a dealbreaker for some.
>>
>>54427604
>Buying low-end HTC
There's your problem. Motorola, chinkphones (aka Xiaomi, Meizu), Huawei are great phones for lower price, while top-premium brands have overpriced low-specced devices.

What I like about the S7 Edge is the battery life, and the better performance. I don't know if the AMOLED of the S7 vs the LCD of the HTC 10 is a deciding factor or not either.

LYING OUT THE ASS

>This time around, HTC decided to tweak the BoomSound setup a bit and designed the HTC 10 with two different kinds of speakers. Rather than having two front-facing speakers, one that mirrors the other, HTC decided to move the lower speaker from under the display to the bottom of the phone, right next to the charger port.

Moving the lower speaker to the bottom made it easier for HTC to put capacitive buttons and a fingerprint scanner on the chin of the phone right below the screen. This helps to keep the lower bezel's size down and also gives a good aesthetic balance to the speaker above. The lower speaker's position allow us to hear the device ring in cases where the phone might be face-down or in a jeans pocket. Good thing too, since the HTC 10 scored the lowest in our loudness test between the LG G5 and the Galaxy S7.

THIS REFERS TO THE STEREO SPEAKERS NOT THE HEADPHONES
>>
So I've had a G3 D855 for about 8 months now, and I'm getting annoyed at LG's Marshmallow since it introduced a coupled of incredibly annoying bugs

>Refuses to find LTE networks unless I manually search for networks and connect to them, have to repeat this process almost every time I drop down to WCDMA due to holes in my operator's shitty LTE network
>Keeps recognizing my regular headphones as a headset, subsequently going apeshit with voice commands, starting soundcloud/spotify and changing tracks (incredibly annoying on soundcloud, as I use it for podcasts)

So do any current or former G3 users have advice on what Marshmallow-based custom roms to use for stability?
>>
>>54432725
The stock keyboard can have dictionaries for multiple languages active at once too, the fuck are you talking about?
>>
>>54433581
Fulmics is a pretty solid stock based ROM.
The headphones issue is very common, try plugging in the jack slower. It's to do with it catching on a tiny little metal contact inside that detects the extra band on a set with a mic.
>>
>>54433690
I'm using S5 with stock KitKat, and a) the stock keyboard is ugly af, and b) I'm not able to have two languages selected at once. I can swipe between the two by swiping spacebar left/right but not actually have both on.

So Google came out with their document taking via voice thing, which I really want to use, and it seems the most useful on the phone, but the problem I am having is that the microphone turns itself off if you aren't talking. Constantly turning it back on kind of defeats the purpose. Also it seems like the mobile version doesn't let you use all the same commands.
