The GT 980 is about 10% to 20% faster than a GTX 970 and judging by this chart we can conclude the GTX 1080 is about the same. So overall we can see a 45% performance increase over the GTX 980? Nevermind the fact we don't know what games this is, for all we know they're testing some HTML5 browser game that uses VP9/H.265 and the 1080 has native decoders for it.
