Are there any differences in these types of cords/cables that I should know about?
I have a drawer with thirty of them I have accumulated over the years and I don't really pay much attention to which one I use with what other than picking one that feels sturdy.

They're all the same. Pick whichever one is long enough for what you need to do.
As far as I know, they are all exactly the same (connectors) with only differences being the thickness of the actual wire itself. I'm in the same boat with you having 30 of them. They are useful when you need one in a pinch.

A thick cable with oxygen free copper and gold connectors will sound better.
Anything else will sound compressed and not have much dynamics to the sound
I noticed when I switched to audiophile quality power cables, my music sounded less metallic and more natural

Maximum ampere. The ones that come with PSUs are usually 10A.

This doesn't apply in the UK. You should use the lowest-rated fuse and cable combo possible that you are licensed for. Do not change a fuse without a Fuse Licence. It's punishable by 6 months in prison.

I don't know why you people think that putting fuses in your plugs makes them such hot shit. That fact that no other country does this suggests that the safety value is negligible.

Are you saying you should look for better than 10A, or that 10A is the optimum?
make a bunch of extension cords.

10A determines the ability to store heat in the cable safely. If you put 100A in a 10A rated cable, it will catch fire.
Does that help you at all?

Which is why you can buy them without a license right?

I agree, but the music became too warm for my tastes, and the mids became a bit recessed while the highs were veiled and cut off at the higher frequencies. I recommend a middle ground with a 1.3% oxygen cable and silver connectors. Give or take an outer carbon fiber sleeve. You will hear the music how it was meant to be heard with a power cable like that.
