I can’t decide if Noctuas are a meme or not. There are fans that are way quieter and there are industrial fans that are way cheaper than Noctuas.

is there even any case, mobo, or GPU that matches noctua's color scheme?

I bought these to replace the stock fans that came with my Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme S--240mm radiator and I freaking love them. I have a White NZXT S340 case, so these fans match my all white build.

Yeah the iPPC versions run at 2000 or 3000 RPM instead of the consumer version which runs at 1500 RPM.

Obviously with faster speeds comes increased noise, but it's comparable to other high end fan and they still have a 6 year warranty.

I want the D15S so I can use my top PCIE slot but it only comes with one fan for some reason. Want to buy another one? YOU CAN'T. The 1500 rpm model it comes with is not sold separately only some 1200 RPM version.
>>
>>54402176
you see the insides of your computer much more often than you see the inside of your engine.

plus some people like to make the insides of both their computer and engine bays to not look like shit, doesnt necessarily mean they're a ricer. pic related

>>
>>54402272
Yeah but it's not going to be the same fan. Won't having a 1200 RPM fan in front of the 1500 cause turbulence and noise?
>>
>>54402271
I don't have a tower, but my notebook sounds like a jet when the alternate case fan is running.
>>
>>54402206
I didn't buy them because of their ability to break down for cleaning, although I have disabled fans that couldn't break down in the past to paint them and I wished those fans had this feature because that was a pain in the ass. I bought these fans because they are all white with white leds and they have a 2.414mm-H2O static pressure and a 86.69 CFM airflow @ max rpm

There aren't many decent all-white fans on the market and these fans push air.

Guys I have corsair r500 case
what should I know if I want to replace cheap default fans with something better? I meant do they all use same voltage and stuff
>>
>>54402283
according to reviews it is 1dBa louder from a single 1500rpm to a 1500rpm and a 1200rpm. And it is .5 dBa quieter than two 1500rpm fans.

And yes, the cooling fan usually matches the engine compartment. Wouldnt black plastic be the cheapest anyway as its used in practically everywhere?

Fans that have big fat blades with very little space between them are static pressure fans, which are for pushing/pulling air through a radiator. Fans that have lots of thin blades with a decent amount of space between them are airflow fans and are for pulling air outside of a computer case into it and pushing air inside a computer case out of it.

You'll want to buy fans that have high airflow, which is usually measured in CFM (cubic feet per minute) and sometimes measured in m3/h (cubic meters per hour). A good airflow fan will be above 70 cfm.
>>
>>54402411
that still leaves 20cm side fan that sucks all that dust from my room into the case

thanks

I bought a Magma Advance as a front intake. It has pretty good specs for such a cheap fan.

>>54402437
I'd probably do 2x140mm fans instead of 1x200mm. That should move more air at similar noise. I never noticed that case before. It has so many fan slots. You could have 10 fans if you wanted.

High airflow cases are a fucking mystery to me, but you also have now helped me.
Thank you!
>>
>>54402488
Too bad he didn't put a H140-X for the CPU exhausting out the top.
>>
>>54402512
I'll probably go with one 140mm instead of 200mm because I only use it at minimal RPM via the front jumper so why bother pumping more dust into a case
>>
>>54402522
generally speaking:
three ~70 cfm intake fans
two ~70 cfm exhaust fans

You want more air going in than is going out so that the inside of the case will have positive pressure (air is leaking out of the cracks and crannies of the case, not leaking into the case), preventing dust accumulation.

Just buy a 140mm mesh filter that goes between the fan and the case panel. If you mount the fan with pic related (like you should) it won't be too much of a pain in the ass to take off the fan and clean the filter.

>>
Hey I have a question for you guys.

Which is better? A push configuration or a pull configuration?
>>
>>54402864
Need more info about your setup.
>>
>>54402864
In terms of cooling a radiator, they are both equal provided that you use a fan with a static pressure above 1.3 MM-H20. Also, a pull configuration works better with fans that have rpms at 1800 or above.

But dust is a fact of life and you will eventually have to clean your radiator. In a push configuration, you'll have to go through the nuisance of having to physically remove your fans to clean your radiator, where as in a pull configuration cleaning the radiator can be much easier.
