I've seen budget builds that only have 4 gigs and run a lot of games just fine. Seems to me it's all about the GPU.
I run 3GB of 1033 on my 3570k and you know what? Metro LL runs 60+ fps with no problems. Everything else like Deus Ex, Borderlands, etc. run 110 to 120+ fps with no stutter. Fuck RAM

GTA V runs like crap with 4GB of ram, specially on low budget GPUs like the 960 and 380, you would think that by getting a budget GPU with budget RAM it would be a good deal but actually getting 8GG improves performance by a great deal with those cards.

GTX 960 2gb averages 52 fps on ultra with Grand Theft Auto V. That is hardly running "like crap". 380 would have similar, if not slightly better, performance.
