Are these worth the money for case fans? I need a few of these to replace some aging noisy fans in my case.

literally bought one of these two days ago after i accidentally broke one of the fins on my fan

So...results?

You get what you pay for. Noctua and Nidec/Scythe Gentle Typhoons (also marketed as EK Vardar) are the best airflow/noise but at a price. But I see Fractal Design fans going on eBay for pretty cheap NIB

Noctua's are about the same price, so I think I may go for those. I'm frequently slapping the front of my case at night to stop the resonant hum of a dying fan.

oh sorry, mistook this for my blog

as far as I can tell, it's pretty quiet, it makes less noise than my other fans at least, those are standard case fans though from corsair
>>
Get some noctua fans.

Which ones? I have a Crucial R4, so not sure if I should go for 140mm or not because of the shitty airflow.

Not sure about these, but I always get 12cm fans with fluid bearings. Worth it to me because they are darn quiet between the bearings and lower RPM.

I got a couple of noctua 120mm industrial pwm 2000rpm. Silent at normal operation, get pretty loud at full tilt. Move a hell of a lot of air though, its pretty rare they run that hard.
>>
Noctua 140mm fans are loud at full speed, but they come with low rpm adaptors. Back when I had a different motherboard, I couldnt control my fans for whatever reason, but now I just control them in uEFI BIOS, and make them run at low RPM.

late, but I got 4 of these all blowing outwards to cool an entry-mid rig.
They don't respond to the mobos sensor for auto adjusting speed. Run steady at an RPM reported by HWmon(cpuz) to be within operational limits. My GPU fan runs louder than they do as it's fan is smaller. Use headphones mostly but even without them these 4/ fans together are pretty quiet.
Got em from a local
tigerdirect™®©
because local postal service can't into fragile for about 4-5$ each.
Unless you keep a pet bat and really NEED to hear a pin drop, they're not too shabby.
Maybe excessive for my purposes, but : future proof >practicality
