transmission for windows sucks. i have an htpc with a 5th gen i5, 32GB ram and seeding 30/48TB over 4 instances of transmission. each have 1500 -2500 torrents and 5-9TB total size.
that's about transmission's capticity per instance. i use utorrent (rss freeds) on my windows pc and it moves the torrents and files to my htpc's various watch folders. aside from media streaming the htpc doesn't handle any tasks beyond transmission. if i were to so much as encode a video while watching a movie all 4 instances would crash.
