I'm really torn between these two phones, and it all comes down to the much better design+no touchjizz vs. the better camera. I would love to get the xperia, but I'm afraid the camera software is still awful (like with every xperia phone so far), also the f/2.0 aperture seems a bit small in comparison to other flagships.

Best phone I've used, although the screen is a little too big for me. Pressure sensitive displays are needed on every device, I can't imagine using a phone without it. The camera is amazing, crystal clear, 4K video and photos. Battery life gets to around 30% (typical day from 7am to 4pm). This is used browsing 4chan via safari, reading manga, music, some local stored anime and maybe a finger game if I'm bored. I got the 64gb version, the only way I come close to filling it is when I ful it with anime,I have a 25gb free 80% of the time. The area where I assume is the cellular radio gets warm when I have one or two dots (bars), phones boost radio output to make up for bad reception. otherwise it doesn't overheat. Download speeds over wifi and LTE are blazing, the only bad thing is screen too big for one hand direct sunlight reading sucks, no dual sim (for autistic purposes).

Really, all the shit I've heard /g/ talk about I expected it to disappoint but this thing is freaking amazing.
The screen is absolutely beautiful, it's really fast with nova launcher strapped to it and animation times cut in half. I love the fingerprint the scanner, the camera is insanely good, UFS makes opening apps very fast. The Samsung browser is also much better than chrome on my last phone. The speaker is one of the best sounding ones I ever heard on a phone. And with 64GB I don't give a shit about it not having a micro sd card.And to top it off, with android 6.0 the battery life has been fantastic, I can go a full 2 days sometimes even 3 without charging.

Moto G, the non LTE model. It wasn't so expensive that I felt scared of breaking it. It didn't have fucking glass on the back. It supports 2 sim cards--so I can keep work and personal isolated. It has an SD slot. It has a 720p screen--but that's good for battery life. I am too old to see the difference in screen resolutions above 720p. It runs a Cyanogenmod I compile myself. I had to unlock the bootloader, thus having the anti-theft feature totally broken. As soon as I got it I also ran Antutu benchmark, and the GPU results were fucking ugly, with stutters everywhere in the "China Garden" animation. I was sick of that shit and posted it in the Internet. Someone with a brand new (and I mean BRAND NEW) iPhone 6s 64gb offered me a change with my Nexus.
At first I had my doubts but iPhone has everything I wanted in my smartphone without root.
And you know what? I forgot about stuttering. I forgot about battery life (in a fucking 1700 mah cellphone and not a beast with 3000 mah that does half its battery life) and I LOVE IT.

Motorola Moto G 2013. It is a fucking great phone. Even though it's only got 1GB of RAM, it's way more than enough for it to run smoothly. It can upgrade to Android OS 5.1.1. (I'm a great fan of 4.4.4., however) and it's got a Gorilla Glass screen, so it is quite resistant. It's gone through Android 4.4.4, Android 5.0.1., boot loader unlocking, root, downgrade to 4.4.2. (which wouldn't connect to wi-fi), CM11 (whose launcher would basically tell me when I turned it on that I could fuck off), CM12 (which did the same as CM11), Android 4.4.2. (which I downgraded to again because it was more stable, even though wi.fi didn't work), and finally to Android 4.4.4. Play Edition, de-rooting it in the process. Even after all of this it still works more than fine, and I guess it'll last a while more until I change phone.
In my opinion, Android OS is the best mobile OS system, and I've found Motorola to be one of the best phone manufacturers (After BlackBerry, of course).

I have a Motorola moto X pure. Honestly I love the thing. The ability to add storage is a huge plus to me. Wish it had some of the features the Nexus 6p had though like USB C and the fingerprint reader for unlock. On the flip side, I wish the 6p had the ability to add more storage.
If Nexus or Motorola releases a phone with ability to add storage, USB C, and fingerprint reader, I'm sold. I don't care who does it first as both companies are unlocked from the factory.

It's probobly not that bad, but it removed a lot of things I liked about the G3. It no longer has a window to view all your apps. You also can't remove apps from your home screens without uninstalling or hiding them. Kind of like the iphone. Also it comes with a load of bloat apps that you can't uninstall just disable. You might be able to by rooting it but I haven't tried that yet in case I do send it back. Also the volume buttons are now on the side, again similar to the iphone. This makes me instinctively try and adjust the volume with the back buttons but its just a power button there now. Basically it's more like an iphone than it is the previous lg phones.

Also the removable battery from the bottom is a pain the ass because it keeps falling out with just a little pressure on the release button. It also feels flimsy on the seam and makes me uneasy that it will snap. The back is not removable without unscrewing it. But the mini sd port was put in a side panel you need a special tool to open. It's kind of a pain in the ass to get it back in once you put the card in, but that's not a big problem unless you are switching cards a lot. It does have a very nice camera but i've been having issues with it crashing suddenly and just freezing on a black screen with just the back home and windows buttons visible. I might be a little but hurt about it, but I probably wouldn't recommend it even if I had it for a while longer.

I have a G5 and I really like it. I came from a G2 so it was time for an upgrade. Have to admit, getting rid of the app drawer was dumb as fuck. I have no idea why they did that. Still, I don't use that many apps so having them spread out between 2 home screens with the bullshit verizon apps and shit I don't use tucked away in folders on another isn't a big deal for me.
Completely disagree about the battery compartment coming out easily. Mine has never detached or fallen out unless I wanted to remove it. I like being able to swap batteries. I got a second one and a charging cradle from LG as part of a launch promotion.
All in all, I'm not a phone snob and I liked my G2 so figured I'd stay with LG. The camera is fantastic and the wide angle lens is very cool. I use it a lot more than I thought it would. The screen also has great colors and brightness. The always on mini display is a nifty feature that I think comes in handy so I don't turn my screen on to check for messages, emails,. etc. For me it does everything I need it to and it does it quickly. I do prefer the all plastic body of my G2 though. That thing felt like a tank and solid as fuck. You can tell that the G5 comes apart when you hold it. It just feels a little loose.

Yeah the lack of settings on many phones is a problem, and is why I like my G4 so much, but its something that should improve with time and software.

As far as mobile providers go, does black berry require a different kind of service than regular mobile internet.
I've been a dumphone fag since for ever and was looking into getting a old BB to get started (it looks like what I'm looking for).
A friend exclusivly uses blackberry and he'd give me one of his old ones, but according to him regular mobile internet is useless for BB and you have to pay for a BB specific service.
This is extra relevant as I live in the middle of bumfuck nowhere aka Eastern Europe where BB support is rare (according to said friend).

Huge screen, which I don't feel I need, and 4K resolution on a phone is literal bullshit. The thing's onli purpose is to drain your battery. I downscaled it, but sometimes it has some graphical issues, so I decided I'm tired of this brick of a phone and considering Iphone 6/6s. I rebember that when I owned a 4s it could sit there for days untouched, and the battery would not drain and it didn't even need a reboot; my phone, instead, needs a reboot every 2/3 days because of lags/minor connection issues.
So yeah, I'm going back to Apple I guess, if only their prices weren't complete bullshit.

Requires a LOT of time to get things like root and xposed working, tutorials are vague.

Locked bootloader and Xiaomi not sending unlocking codes ( I don't really need it anymore, but STILL ).
Although it has a massive battery it doesn't feel like it's massive. Just slightly above average at best.
Modding lockscreen is a pain.
I'd recommend it definitely.
