While it's technically a transcode the term encoding is used due to it not just being a simple file format conversion.
Bluray file structure is pretty complex to convert it into a smaller file size while still keeping lossy audio and so on is a hard thing to do.
Handbrake makes it look easy but unless used autisticly , everything you encode with it will come out looking like a scene rip instead of a transparent encode that differs very very very very very VERY slightly from the source.
If you wanna learn more then /ptg/ isn't really the place as no one encodes here , lurk ptp forums for more detailed info.

One of the best features of mratio is /fakefarming/
1. Find a torrent that is NOT an exclusive and that has a healthy number of seeds (5-10)
2. Add it to mRatio.
3.Set it to NOT download, but report you as 100% done
I am seeding around ~3TB with this method, but it only takes up ~100GB on my hard drive (I like to seed some real torrents too). Just make sure that the torrents that you /fakefarm/ also have some real seeders.
