Has anyone had experiences with selling gently used parts? I'm hoping to purchase a 980 Ti and sell it close to the Pascal release. My current card is just dying and I'm looking for a quick fix.
Do cards retain 75% of their value at least when large jumps like this happen? Is it even a good idea to do this in the first place? Wat do?

You still get scams on ebay, and now ebay made it so you have to accept any return for any reason within 30 days, just like amazon if you want to be with their "top rated seller" program (otherwise you're items go to the bottom of the list)

If you're planning on buying a new card when they're released, I would not buy a brand new card in that price range.
Do you live in a larger city? Buy face-to-face so you dont have to deal with Ebay scams. Go to the seller and have him display that the card works properly before you give him money.

you can buy it on amazon easily, i scam people with amazon refunds daily and all the refunds are given by amazon
even if u sell ur card, someone claims they didnt receive it - they will get a refund but you wont lose your money.. hes just going to leave you a bad feedback
actually nvm youre safe, amazon offers refund policy only for orders fulfiled by amazon so as long as you provide tracking info you will be fine

No, the way it works is, IF you chose to have a return policy the process must be automated and is administrated by Ebay.
You can still chose to have a no returns policy (Customers can still potentially force a return if they win a "Item Significantly Not As Described case" ) just like before.
None the less, it's still super easy to get fucked over as a seller, you still have to wait 3 weeks for your money, the shipping calculator still rips you off, and you still have to pay 10+% in fees.
However if you still wanna put up with that, and the sale goes well; shit on Ebay WILL sell , and usually for a lot more than anywhere else even after fees if you're selling electronics.
TL;DR FUCK EBAY.

Why not just get a 950. 980tis will be gimped as soon as pascal hits. No one will want a deprecated product.
Try some forums, scammers are instantly blacklisted although you will pay higher prices.
