The a8 can be overclocked and has an r7 240 igpu so it'll be the better choice for those not looking to upgrade, the i3 is ddr4 though and has a slightly stronger cpu, so it'll be the better choice for adding a dgpu in, unless you grab a cheap used r7 240 or 250 later on
