It has some good ideas beneath all the crazy. The shell has some very interesting features, like the fact that it functions as a system explorer itself, has the ability to display images within the shell, and it includes system-wide auto-completion by default. It's easy to write it, and Terry off because of how batshit he has become over the years, but crazy and stupid aren't necessarily synonymous. Terry isn't a stupid at all.
TempleOS isn't an OS anyone should use and rely on, and it is of little interest to most people. It is however, an OS that systems programmers should study and learn from. Think Plan9 here. Plan9 itself was a colossal flop, but many of the ideas behind it have been carried over to Unix, and it's tools have been ported and improved upon. Unix is better because of Plan9's existence.
