Not a NEET, well I am right now since I didn't take any classes this semester or the semester before that..., but I won't be a NEET once the summer term starts, I hope not at least. Don't get any welfare or benefits, aside from federal aid for school, still living with my parents and undecided on what I want to do.
>>
>>54357786
>Wow. How did you get that oppertunity?

I knew I wanted to get into IT, saw the exorbitant cost of college here in the US, and hear from a friend that the AF will pay for college and get me some relevant experience. Went online, found the job that I wanted, and scored really well on the entrance exam. Thankfully, most cyber jobs are in need of manning, so it wan't hard to get a contract with the job I want.

You can probably do something similar (I'm assuming you're in the UK). Look into what the RAF offers, it might be worth a few years.

Not so much dumb users. It is mostly the lack of appreciation that I get. Last year, we hung around 10 to 20 computers checked in at a time which, for a large campus like this, is not bad. Our full timer in charge of managing these computers left and was never replaced so I took it upon myself to revamp how we handled computers, put in long hours to fix these things (including hours that I will never get paid for), moved our turnaround time to be drastically lower than it was, and essentially got us to the point where we are way better off than where we were when we had someone salaried managing everything.
Do I get a word of thanks for this? Nope. Just a note that I "meet" initiative requirements.
So I guess it boils down to too much to do and me being addicted to working this shit even though I get paid way too low.
