Have you looked at the specs? Like at all?
>gets BTFO by 55WHr Yoga 2 in battery life in same tasks
I know several people with computers from the Yoga line and use a Yoga 11s every day at work and I can say that the screws shook out of the bottom of the laptop causing the bottom plate to catch on things (they do not offer replacement screws) and the screws holding the keyboard fell out so that pulls up too. The trackpad is extremely unreliable and won't even work if you're pressing a key down on the keyboard. There is virtually no powersaving features practice: I often deactivate sleep mode to a computer that was charged last night reporting 7% battery left, don't even get me fucking started on the window scaling with Windows on the Yoga Pros, there is no middle ground if you plug in a 1080p screen. Sometimes the mouse and keyboard just shut off and force you to use the touchscreen. The WiFi module only supports the 2.4GHz band.
Out of space, basically you're stupid.

The OP hasn't been refuted. If you are talking about this >>54353346, then it's nice that there's an i7 for less, but at some point we have to realize that more powerful components isn't worth literally (http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2016/03/razer-blade-stealth-review-what-happens-when-gamers-make-a-regular-laptop/) less than half the battery life when doing simple tasks like web browsing. If the Blade had an external GPU in it for the same price it would still be worse, because laptops are laptops and we don't want to have to have them plugged in most of the day.

tldr

if you find a better laptop it won't be better without a fuckhuge battery because more powerful hardware sucks more juice. if you find something with the same specs and same life, it'll probably be thicker, have more ports, and a subjectively inferior screen because few companies other than apple prioritize form over function (as few companies market to aids ridden homos and manlets)

that means it's either a macbook but impossible for an aids ridden homo/manlet to lift, just as small with inferior battery life, or is thin and is unusable for manlets and skeletal aids-ridden homos

despite "equal" machines costing as much or more, the aids ridden homos have no reason to buy anything but apple. it's just the best laptop brand for aids ridden homos.

They also have worse battery life, so an aids ridden homo can't use one for too long while at the doctor for their regular aids-related checkup since they're too weak to carry an AC adapter

Surface Book 2 release date

Naturally, the company has not officially announced the product given that the Surface Book launched mere months ago. However, it's easy to speculate that a follow up is in the works, and could possibly arrive by the end of the year, next to the Surface Pro 5.

But, here's the thing: Microsoft's Anniversary Update slated for this summer is widely believed to be part one of two "Redstone" updates slated to arrive on Windows 10. Recent rumors indicate that Redstone 2 (RS2) wouldn't arrive until sometime early 2017, next to new branded hardware devices and the long-awaited Surface Phone, all of which will take direct advantage of the new RS2 features.

Added to this early 2017 theory is that the Surface Book 2 is expected to use a "Kaby Lake," 14-nanometer processor from Intel, which is slated to go into volume production at the end of the year. This processor family will offer native USB 3.1 support, Thunderbolt 3 support, feature up to four cores as the default configuration, and better performance both on the CPU front and GPU front. Windows 10 will be the only Microsoft-based platform that will support these chips.
>>
>>54354005
A better screen is not form, it's function.

>>54354013
The surface book starts at $200 more expensive than the 13" rMBP. Not to mention it has a 3:2 screen (lol?), worse trackpad and will probably scratch your desk.

And no, it doesn't matter if there's a sale and it's $150 off. I can get rMBPs for cheaper than $1300 too.

Surface Book

>Powerful laptop
The first full laptop has arrived in the Surface family. Surface Book is a powerful laptop with a full sized, backlit keyboard for fast and natural typing.
>Portable clipboard
The 13.5” PixelSense™ display detaches easily from the keyboard to become a thin, light tablet that works perfectly with OneNote and Surface Pen.
>Creative canvas
Turn the screen around and reattach it to use Surface Book like a creative canvas. By reconnecting it to the keyboard, you unlock its full creative power in a pen first mode.

Both Surface and Apple trackpads are exactly the same in responsiveness and pinch/scroll gestures. 3-4 finger swipes are however different and each OS has its own advantages. Windows lets you switch tasks with 3 swipes and desktops with 4 swipes, takes some getting used to if you're used Expose & Mission Control. Both feel great and I never felt like plugging in a mouse to any of these.
All the shills telling you their XPS or Asus touchpads are just as good are fucking kidding themselves, Lenovo comes close though.

I don't have all day, man. Plus I deal with video files and shit. I'd have to start paying for drive/Dropbox if I used it, and they both have bugs too often for me to feel alright doing that.

Last time I looked at dropbox's site it literally gave up trying to load my public folder. Which was less than 50 MB. On a wired connection.

What exactly do you mean with it? The GPU is perfectly fine for anything you'd do on a ultrabook, obviously gaming isn't one of the things.

Besides, you're missing the point completely, anon, and you sound a lot more reasonable than the usual "lolmacbook sux"- crowd ... so I don't get how you manage to miss it so bad. OP asked for a comparable laptop to a 13'3" rMBP, with similar specs (cpu/ram/ssd/screen/weight/etc)

>>54356166
To be fair, they are rated 1000, and 2012 rMBP wasn't exactly great at battery life in the first place. Though 1-2h still sounds damn low.
>>
>>54356213
Does it matter? It's 4k video on the GPU you claimed could do nothing but produce stutter above 1080p.

They can't, they will save up enough money for something more expensive that gives less than a Macbook purely to avoid having to admit they were wrong.

Usually got 4-5 tabs open there too and the only way to cause slow downs for half a second is using cover flow and scrolling through huge folders VERY fast. Given you have to actively try to force it, I'd say it's a non issue.

Some are poor enough to constantly try to validate their purchase choice here though.
>>
>>54358101
This implies people are decent with money and there are tons of poorfags in the first world who can't buy a macbook without lowering their life quality. Which is ... irrelevant and not exactly the point. You're clearly a poorfag.

Non-poorfags don't bitch about Macbook prices. 1300 is pocket money for anybody with a job.

>worse screen
Worse aspect ratio, higher resolution. Moot.
>worse trackpad
I know macfags assume their trackpads are the opus magna of pointing devices, but do you actually have a comparison for this?

Come on nigga, 16:10 is great.
What is glued together? I thought the chassis used screws.

>>54353525
>it gets through the day
Because they crammed it full of battery, OS X is still shit at energy efficiency because it's an OS made by designers.

>Non-poorfags don't bitch about Macbook prices
Non-poorfags don't seek out external validation for something that's just over 1k.

Do you see someone actual rich brag about his solid gold faucets here and calling everyone who doesn't have them poorfags?
No you don't, because why would they care what you think?
>>
>>54358260
>1300
>pocket money
This proves that you are a poor-fag and a lier.
1300 isn't pocket money for anybody, whether they have money or not.
I have money. 1300 is a lot of money regardless of why my bank account says.
People who think 1300 is pocket money won't have money for long.

>Worse aspect ratio, higher resolution. Moot.
Fair point, although higher resolution is a questionable benefit with Windows and makes you very dependant on 3rd party software not messing it up.

>but do you actually have a comparison for this?
You can read literally any review, or try them in store. They are pretty based even at doing normal trackpad stuff, once you add gestures, there is simply no comparison.

>>54358361
>they crammed it full of battery,
Doesn't the Retina Macbook have a much smaller battery than that Asus clone yet lasts longer even than 1080p version? rMBP might have a slightly larger battery than the average ultrabook though.

>>54358366
I don't see anybody with a macbook bragging about it either, people just call out poor people who pretend that it's expensive.

>>54358386
>I have money. 1300 is a lot of money regardless of why my bank account says.
It's literally one week of work for a student intern, if that's not pocket money, what is?

>People who think 1300 is pocket money won't have money for long.
Grandpa please.
>>
>>54358437
>you can try it
I have tried the trackpad. Good, but not really great. I can't try the Razer though so I was looking for a comparison.
If you haven't tried both to some extent, why are you saying the Macbook's trackpad is better?

It's called hiding it and moving on with your life.

I don't know about the Asus clone nor do I care because that has too many variables. If you install Windows on a macbook you get better battery life. OS X sucks at energy efficiency even on the hardware it's made for.
