i feel like they went in the wrong direction with vivaldi.
instead of taking chromium and expanding upon it adding new features directly they just took chromium as is and slapped a nodejs interface on it.
and that part is closed source.
they should have focused more on chromium itself and fixing its issues instead of just putting a javascript ui on it that feels really sluggish and slow.
however ui features are great.
