Hey /g/,

currently on the lookout for a device (<300 € / < $ 345) that I want to use for the following:

- Use it for university stuff, i.e. writing papers/essays and taking notes in class (and maybe create presentations)
- Drawing (so probably something with a touchscreen)
- Use it as an e-book reader
- Play vidya (mostly emulated retro games); should note that I hate the touch controls emulators on Android and such often have

The most obvious choices here would be a tablet or a laptop with a touchscreen, but there are some other interesting devices as well (pic related)

I realize that a device that can do all these things won't be perfect for each category (e.g. most tablets can't detect pressure / tilt I imagine, which would be useful for drawing), especially not for that money

Nonetheless, are there any recommendations you can give me, /g/?

Some tablets I found are:

- Dell Venue 8 (7840)
- Huawei MediaPad M2 8.0
- Nvidia Shield Tablet K1

The pic is of the GPD WIN Intel Z8550, a really cool sounding device, half laptop half handheld game console with a touchscreen; not yet released though

Another interesting device is the BIG BEN GT320206 GAMETAB, pic in next post

The BIG BEN GT320206 GAMETAB

Has a controller you can remove if you want to, pretty neat if you want it to be a bit more portable, or use it in public without seeming like a total nerd

The controller is particularly interesting for me because like I said, I hate those on-screen controls many retro console emulators on Android and the like have, so a tablet with an actual controller is pretty cool

I'm not sure if the K1 has a stylus, but if so get that. If not, get the one with a stylus.

It's literally designed for gaming and drawing. snag a keyboard if you want to do any real document work.

Knew about the gaming part, but not that it was for drawing too
