Just paid my 3rd month of Spotify.
I too thought 'hurr durr muh non piracy streaming botnet' but it's just way too comfy if you have €10/month to spare

- Actually good suggestions
- Auto-downloads new playlist items when you're on WiFi
- XBMC app
- Instantly plays from system resume or when switching devices
- On parties just log in and afterwards logout remotely if I forget

Thats about the features that do it for me, no whatcd or whatever private tracker torrent shit.

Using google play here. Free 3 months was 3 months ago. Does spotify let you download for listening offline? Google does, but a bug keeps coming back where a bunch of it gets deleted if you reboot your phone...it's starting to piss me off. Still better than no download option, tho, i guess.

I use both streaming and local music. Honestly even though Spotify has clear advantages over using Poweramp + SD card, it still has many drawbacks. I've been a Google Music cuck since it was launched, which means I'm locked in at $8 a month. This, plus the fact that my own library syncs to it, and I get Youtube Red included automatically pretty much means I have no reason to ever switch services.

I use Spotify but I've been a broke joke for the past 3 months so I haven't payed for my subscription. Mainly Spotify for general listening to music while driving to school / work, but I use Google Play to organize my music.

I don't pay for either, but used a cracked Spotify .apk with tabletmetrics and TMobile has free streaming with both services, so that's the main reason I use them.

It's similar to the first example, meaning - the lack of a phone charger. I don't think everyone carries a powerbank all the time. Do you only listen to music while you're inside? I usually listen to it on my way to the gym, sometimes while working out, etc.

Non-remastered tracks of Queen etc.
The Beatles
Soundtracks from various games/movies/shows
Certain Albums/tracks from artists that are on spotify

Those are a few I can name from my head, and I'd suppose by now the original versions of certain tracks are on their database. Though a lot is still missing unfortunately.

>>

Now I just mark what I want to keep on the device as always keep offline and I make use of the auto-download and keep offline mode for songs that might interest me so I almost always have something new to listen to if i want it even offline. It just downloads random stuff based on my likes and does a pretty decent job of it so far.

Google Play Music.

Pretty good selection of music. Doesn't beat Spotify, but if I want something on my GPM account, I can download it, dump it in my already synchronized music library and it'll automatically upload to GPM.
Would like to have a desktop player, though. The one made by Marshallofsound is good, but for some reason, it makes my PC have weird microstutters.
