Excuse my weebness, but has anyone of you ever bought an unlocked Japanese phone from Kyo(to)ex(ports)?
I live in Europe, how bad would shipping be, worse than chinese phones?

You will be lucky if they have English, and even if they do, it will be a mix of Engrish and un-translated Japanese. Plus, their LTE is different from ours.
Yeah don't do it op, save yourself the risk of potentially it not working at all on your network (different cell bands in asia) and just get some Japanese phone straps

Custom OSes usually a-la feature phones but they're much more advanced than feature phone OSes. Android sometimes but Android is virtually nonexistent in japan.

Closest I got was an Xperia SX off eBay. Nice little phone, runs Android so most of the English is actually translated and the few that isn't are in apps that I don't use anyway.
