So my friend upgraded to Windows 10 on his Laptop yesterday and let me try it out. It seems pretty nice but I'm still slightly worried about all the spying stuff everyone on 4chan /g/ is talking about. Does it really spy on you that much? I think a lot of it is bullshit but I still want to hear other peoples' opinions on Microsoft Windows 10.

If you're using XP or above you're already giving them the same amount of metadata that 10 collects. It's non personal and untrackable data that in absolutely NO way can be traced back to anyone. NOBODY should let all this baseless FUD paranoia prevent them from taking advantage of a completely free upgrade to Microsoft's best work yet.

I've used Windows 10 for a while and I think it's pretty decent too. Also it doesn't "spy" on you like all the paranoids with a grudge against Microsoft would have you believe. Don't let them fool you. Windows 10 is the most secure operating system ever released by Microsoft. The only thing Microsoft even gathers is its just standard minimal error reporting data. Almost any program nowadays does that, including OSX and Linux.
speaking of this, i'm trying to find a program that stopped all that tracking shit g was saying is essential for anyone using windows 10 that doesnt want to be tracked, anyone heard of it?

Personally, I find Windows 10 much better than Windows 7 and 8. New Server 2016 is gonna be great too. I also don't understand all the paranoia about Microsoft supposedly spying on people. Also there is like 1 month left for the free upgrade, so you should do it now op since you can always revert back to whatever os you were using before.

You will find people posting 10 or so links as "evidence", most of which reference the preview build used for testing and the rest are opinion pieces and speculation from clickbait sites like Forbes.
I like Windows 10 a lot better than my old Windows 8.1 install. We use it at work and it's magnitudes better than the ugly Windows 7 we were using. It's also a lot better on your memory usage, hard disk, and battery life.

I can't wait for the anniversary update. Windows 10 is already great and it's getting even better. Loving the new Microsoft so far. And this is coming from a long-time linux user. I upgraded to Windows 10 6 months ago and have never looked back or even bothered to boot into my Debian install except to copy some files.
The anniversary update will come with Ubuntu so by then there's literally no reason to use Loonics.

Partially true, but I read part of the agreements when installing at work, and there was little difference.
You have five options:
1) Use an older version of Windows forever
2) Use Linux
3) Use wWindows 10 Enterprise, disable spying
4) make your own OS
5) Stop using computers
Personally I will get Linux + certified and switch over. A EULA that states I have no rights makes me choose to use a less secure kernal.
For the record prior to Win 10 I loved Microsoft. I was going to get Microsoft Certified. After Win 10 I decided to get a CCNA instead.
Now a days even a Mac seems like viable option. Windows still arely tops Apple for me because of 7 and my Windows Admin skills...
Just read and decide. But make a moral decision, not a decision out of convenience. You are on G, you are not a normie, you can choose to be better.
