ITT: Tech that aged like a fine wine
>>54334677
To this day my favorite mouse of all time.
>>54334677
Still my daily driver.
Still using it as my primary phone
>>54334677
Replaced the cord once and fixed the springs twice in 5 years, still the best mouse I've ever had
>>54334760
kys
>>54334677
To this day, almost a decade later, there still isn't a console that is as feature-packed, even if you count the removal of linux support.
>>54334677
I still have 2 unopened MX518's. I've been using my existing MX518 for about 5 years, and it's still going strong. Hardware redundancy, albeit semi autistic, has served me right for many years of not having to get to know new peripherals or running the gauntlet of shenanigans to find a new peripheral that just works and feels right.
>>54334981
Nah. Replaced mine 3 times. I have the slimmer matte version now but I never use it.
>>54334677
did they just discontinue them without a real alternative?
>>54335032
I purchased on on ebay "as is" for 30 bucks about 2 months after they dropped, and then paid 100 bucks to get it reballed, and 100 bucks for a 320GB hard drive (the largest reasonably priced 2.5 SATA drive in 2007). Haven't had a problem since, although I'm sure the HDD will need to be replaced eventually (I've got a portable that backs up the PS3, so no biggie).
Not bad for a system that cost $600 when it dropped. It's also the closest a console has ever come to being an actual PC, with 4 USB ports, a CF card reader, a memory pro duo card reader, an SD card reader, as well as pretty much full BC with all the older games, and the ability to play/rip CDs, play DVD's and Blu Rays, and having an up-gradable hard drive.
>>54334760
youre a waste of oxygen
>>54334981
>got one with broken av for $20
>had os 2.xx on it
>plugged in HDMI and installed cfw
I don't like games but I do like Gran Turismo
>>54335536
I like GT 5. Wasn't a big fan of GT 6, though.
>>54335023
I wish I had bought a few of them.
Mine broke several years ago and now I got a G400s :(
>>54334981
>plug in $10 usb Chinese gamepad
>works perfectly
wizards made the ps3
>>54335614
It was before piracy really reared its ugly head.
Since the PSP 3000, they've really cut back their user friendliness. PS4 and the Vita are absolute proof of this.
>>54335586
g400 now incredibly over priced. Understandable considering availability.
>>54334677
Why did they make it have those ugly dents?
I'm still using this 10 years later. Literally typing on it right now. It has its hiccups and can't be taxed TOO much, but for its age it looks beautiful and performs magnificently.
>>54334677
G502 is superior in every way
>>54335819
what about the g400s?
which one is the good model?
>>54335848
the dents are in the "paint"
the mouse is completely flat.
A lot of Sony products seem to stand through the test of time. 95-05 was a dark period for Sony design though, ehyuck.
>>54335885
What's the point of that?
>>54335936
For you to remember it.
Which is the point of all design and marketing.
Or else you would have a design-less white-yellowish-because-old mice and other accessories everywhere
>>54335916
>MDR-V6
my nigga. Still use it often even though I have ATH-M50s. The weird finish on the pads is coming off and sticking to my ears and head now though
>>54335152
They replaced them with the G400. But I think that's discontinued too. I don't know if they replaced it because I've been using the same G400 for five years :^)
>>54335936
A shitty attempt at making it look cool
>>54334760
it hasn't even been out for more then a year anon.
that's not how wine works.
>>54335152
>>54336283
They still make the G400S. Exact same body as the MX518.
>>54335916
It looks simple, but it is still one beast of a sound bar system. 3 HDMI inputs, 3 optical inputs, one analog input, one DM port (for iDevices), and one digital coax input, all routing to an HDMI output. If you can find them, they are under 100 bucks now, despite taking 7.1 PCM like its nothing.
50 watts per speaker, and 100 watts to the sub. Hard to do better for less than 100 bucks.
>>54336296
Here's a pic of the back.
If you read the CNET reviews for the 100 and the 150, its pretty funny. On the 100, they bitched that the remote input was on the sound bar, and not the subwoofer. On the 150, Sony put it on the subwoofer, not the sound bar, and then they bitched about THAT. No pleasing some people.

>>54334703
sr80's here reporting in

Logitech everything else not so much, keyboards are also good
>>54335614
>>54335651
Yeah i miss the old vanilla PS3, mine died and i sidegraded to a PS3 Slim, much quieter and more reliable, swear it ran games slightly better too.
Would love to jailbreak my 360 as well as both are just gathering dust.

>>54336292
Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure that was a joke.
>>54334760
just kill yourself
>>54338397
The non-launch dukes, the slims, and the super slims actually had less processing power than the launch models. Dunno if it made a shit worth of difference with games, but those are the specs.
>>54334677
I still use it
>>54334760
top kek
>>54334981
>there still isn't a console that is as feature-packed
...senpai.
>>54334703
Haha I'm wearing my sr80i right now which I usually one use once or twice a year.
>>54339030
They are just a smaller manufactering process. Specs are exactly the same.
>>54339882
I have 2 memory cards with softmod for this shit. I have everything you need for softmod.
bought these meme speakers when they were still a meme
I know the sound isnt that good, but fuck it im still satisfied with them
>>54335586
I'm going to be very sad when my g400s dies
>>54334677
still using mine after ten years, opened it up once five years ago to get some dust out of the scroll wheel, otherwise Perfect
>>54340562
Quick buy a backup! Logitech might never make a normal gaming mouse again in the master race shape. I have two G400s and a restored G5 even a G500 just in case.
Circa 1977.
>>54341696
>Marantz
Yeah that'll do it
>>54341696
Only thing that looks dated are the fonts. Good design otherwise.
I still use this to this date.
560ti
Sansa Clip+
Galaxy S2
>used to be a competitor to gtx760 now trades blows with a 780ti in some games
>supports async compute when even new nvidia cards don't
>>54344966
Sega sucks and has always sucked.
>>54347679
Not really, they made some of the greatest most innovative games ever. Stuff like Daytona, Sega Rally, Virtua Fighter, Outrun, Shenmue, Etc.
>>54347735
So a bunch of racing games, a sub par fighter that's only notable for being an early 3d game, and an overrated precursor to Heavy Rain.
K.
>>54347772
I'm not just talking about VF1
>Virtua Fighter
>The biggest 3d fighting arcade game in the world
>sub par
Implying Shenmue isn't one of the greatest games ever made.
I can give you a lot more games if you want.
>>54347746
This, still using it.

>>54334677
I know I've had my Intel i7 2600k for ages, 3.4ghz but overclocked on air to 4.9Ghz. There's only a handful of CPUs faster today at that speed. I think it's the longest I've gone without upgrading my CPU.
still using it
>>54347943
It's a quality product but
>2016

>keep telling myself how shitty this place is and how I need to do something better with my life
>keep coming back anyway
Linux
>>54348187
Tomorrow I'm going to actually do it.
I'm not even going to sit at the computer it always fucking sucks me back here.
Now I just need to keep my hands off my dick and my phone and we'll be good.
Why is life so hard.
>>54337513
I had those.... Should of never gave them up.
>>54337643
fuckin this!
>>54348187
Don't forget, you're here forever.
>>54336292
Sure about that?
>>54334677

>>54352889
my brother has one and it looks absolutely terrible but i guess it still works
>>54335870
I plan on using my 2011 MBP for as long as humanly possible
I don't play games or render shit so I have no reason to get more powerful hardware. Ever.
>>54348187
Why don't you do something productive by spending less than three hours on 4chan? Maybe you'll find something you like instead and move on to that.
>>54334677
