Serious question: how shit are windows and Linux on macbooks? I'd want to use both on it; it's very important. Do they really fuck battery life that badly? And I also heard chrome destroys battery on osx... That would be a huge bummer for me. I also have no intention of using iTunes or idevices. The alternative for me is the chromebook pixel 2. Lighter, slightly better screen, better Web browsing battery life, and Linux that doesn't suck.
The only way the MacBook would be more appealing to me would be if it had good battery life with chrome, if windows on it worked great, if Linux compatibility was just as good if not better than the pixel, and if the overheating meme is way exaggerated
