Hey senpai I don't really do gayman anymore so I took one R9 390X off my main computer and put it in this other computer:

Battlefield 4 runs pretty good at 1440p with the settings at high. The CPU is still bottlenecking it, and I suspect the slow laptop sourced SSHD plays a part too (I got rid of random lagging when I moved BF4 from a seagate barracuda to a 850 EVO), how much can I literally gain by overclocking?
I'm currently at 4 Ghz and running Prime95 (which it's passing great), socket temperature is 70 while the core is hovering between 56-60 celcius. I did some googling and basically all I found was idiots from places like tom's hardware saying it's bad, but without any proof to warrant their claims. I know it to be bullshit too, but how far exactly can I push this thing? The cooler is quite rubbish for OC, but I have a way to source cheap AIO coolers. But is there any realistic gain going from 4Ghz to, say, 4.3? I know it makes more of a difference with Intel processors, which are the only processors I've overclocked before.

Buying new hardware now would be really damn stupid. Wait until Zen and Intel's next chipsets are out. Pick whichever one of those makes sense.

While the standard advice is overclock until its one step below melting I would seriously think twice on that motherboard.
Comedy option: play at 4k where cpu basically does not matter as no gpu is powerful enough to cause a cpu bottleneck.
