Scrobblers and tracking services are giving me headaches.

There are sites dedicated to music, TV, anime, manga, games, books, but none of them covers them all.

Some work scrobble-based (last.fm), not allowing to put older works you might have seen.
Some work by manual input (IMDB, MyAnimeList), but have incomplete or limited databases.
Some are browser-based, some are software.

I'm thinking it's come to a point were it'd be easier to just catalog everything offline, creating my own entries in a single sorting system for every medium.

Does /g/ has any good ideas on how to do this?
I do, but it'd be a software written from scratch and I'm not a programmer.
So I'd like to know how you would do it with already available tools.

That's not the point of the thread.

I'm currently looking into LibreOffice Base, so far it looks good, it does everything needed.

But I still have to find out whether it has practical means to visualize/sort items and category divisions.
