just normal browsing, office work, etc without getting RSI or Carpal tunnel syndrome.
>>
>>54323377
this is relevant to my interest
the wiki infographics are either out of date, filled with meme mice that are out of production for the last five years or just disregard the ergonomics entirely in favor of muh gaymen sensor

I would be very much in favor of just making a brand new guide

Just get a $10 mouse. If your not some sort of CS tournament player or some shit, it doesn't fucking matter

That wireless Logitech mouse everyone posts. Meme aside it's comfy as fuck.

any opinions?
I had a microsoft ergonomic before that and it was the only ergonomic that actually felt like it, I'm on the fence about this one
>>
>>54325067
if you have to be several hours in front of a pc, theres nothing ergonomic enough to not screw your wrists/back/elbows
>>
>>54325323
well obviously
however anything more ergonomic is still better than something not ergonomic at all

I've always found gaymer mice pretty comfy, OP. Just turn off all the LEDs and bind the buttons to something useful.
>>
>>54325876
Everyone on here talks shit about the scroll wheel, but after using it for a long time the wheel feels good as new. I do have issues with skipping though.
>>
what about track balls? are they good or overpriced meme?
>>
>>54323377

a killed a mouse at work today, no joke.
>>
>>54326844
good, using one. but need regular cleaning. Like every week. but the payoff is totally worth it.
>>
>>54326941
you mean in an ergonomic sense or how?
>>
Logitech Mx master is probably the best mouse I've ever used. It's on the expensive size but it's worth it imho
>>
>>54325067
I've tried this before, I absolutely hate vertical mice. This thing is good for palm grips and it's not exactly vertical but it's definitely diagonal. The scroll wheel is gonorrhea.

Even though the G100s is a gaming mouse I use it all the time for different purposes and it is very comfortable once you are used to it.

Steelseries Kinzu is cheap and good to use.

Depends on your definition of gaming tho, it doesn't have dank images of vidya over the box so I don't think it's gayming
>>
>>54323377
Gayming mice might look like memes, but quite often they're the products that get the most attention by the manufactureres. I would love to have a non-gayming mouse, but there's legit no good ones out there
>>
>>54326091
How's this mouse for claw grip?
Been thinking about it.
>>
>>54323441
MX Master
Or if you want buttons one of those logitech gaming mice
>>
>>54329734

I'm stuck in this same box. I have a G502 and it works so damn well, just wish there was a metal/non gaymery version.

MX master has a shitty sensor in comparison, and slow ass wireless.
>>
>>54323966
this, along with the mx518, are the only correct choices.

Neither is made anymore though

My Master bows down to my SS Rival 300.
Whilst it didn't cost me a fortune, it's still one of my most regrettable purchases of 2015.
>>
>>54329804
fuck lelgitech for discontinuing the g400 and g9x
>>
Could anyone suggest decent mice that do not cost $100? I don't care about movement that much, I just want it to be comfortable and ergonomic.

I currently own a Microsoft Comfort 4500. The shape is okay, but the wheel is shit. So thin and hard to click on it hurts my index finger, but just brushing it scrolls the page.
>>
>>54326091
>>54329755
1. If you want a Naos, don't get the 8200 one, it has a shit sensor.
2. Naos isn't good for claw. If you want a claw mouse from Mionix get either Castor or Avior.
>>
Any honestly.

Gaming mice are gaudy as however and such a placebo
>>
>>54330233
>54330233
thanks bud. I was bidding for a used naos 7000 but I got outbid by $1 ($31).

What's the difference between castor and avior besides shape?
I'm trying to find the comfiest claw grip mouse with best sensor.
>>
>>54330576
The Avior is ambidextrous symetric design, hence has more buttons while the castor is right-handed ergonomic design with less buttons for obvious reasons. Otherwise they are very similar. Castor's sensor is the PMW 3310, Avior should be 3310, too, just differently implemented.
Only "bad" about the Castor is the loud mousewheel, but that's hardly a dealbreaker for me, don't know about the Avior's wheel though.
You should look at the Zowie FK1, too.
But anyways, you could try to get a cheap, "used" one from Amazon Marketplace.
I got my Castor for 35€ in excellent shape. These mice are typically the ones opened by someone, maybe used for a week and then send back.
>>
>>54330715
What do you think of the Zowie EC2?
I have medium sized hands, 17.5 from wrist to middle finger and 8.5 across palm.
I used a CM Storm Spawn for like 4-5 years and it just died. Replacing it would cost something like $100 and frankly, I'm tired of the design.

I'm using a G400 right now but being forced into a full palm grip isn't comfortable and its rear seems too high.
>>
>>54331192
EC2 is a good mouse. If you want a claw grip mouse you should look into Zowie FK and EC series, Mionix Avior/Castor, Corsair M45, SteelSeries Kana (at least i think), etc.
I can only tell you that the Castor is great if you don't mind loud mousewheel. The M45 is ok, but you'll need to get used to it. Zowie EC/FK are both very good.
Alle mice have either ADNS or PMW 3310 sensors, the EC has 3090 i believe, but both are good sensors. Just stay away from laser and shit like the ADNS 9800.
Need to go now, it'S already 0200 and monday.... hope it will help you get a good mouse.
>>
>>54323377
I like the logitech g600 since you can program it in HW (i.e., can make a button do whatever, plug it into a computer with no special driver and it still works right) and has a fuckload of thumb buttons for macros.

I set them all and the M4 button to the f13-f24 keys then use application-specific software macros on top of that to do whatever.

It's been a pretty nice general productivity booster, and even increases my 4chins shitposting capacity noticeably.

>>
>>54337302
Why isn't there a modern MTE? The design is fucking PERFECT, all they need to do is throw in an updated sensor, put it on the market for $150 and rake in the bux.
>>
>>54337518
If you're not doing gaming this shit is pretty comfortable to use. Gestures help a lot.
>>
>>54337302
Advice please.
I seriously considering getting one of these.
My fucking wrist man... it hurts

i ended up borrowing a friends wacom tablet to see if i liked digital art shit, but ended up just using it as a really nice oversized trackpad. its surprisingly comfortable

DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF SHIT
Be warned anon, this POS has a wheel ratcheting mechanism that WILL kill itself within few days of use.
Google MX Master + wheel/ratcheting and check for yourself the countless reports of this design fault.

I sent the first one back and then ordered another one, and it had the same problem. This happened to many other users, and Logitech is refusing to acknowledge the fault.

DON'T BUY THIS FAGGOT MOUSE.
>>
>>54323377
Just find a normie tier mouse from your nearest computer store. If you want higher precision I suggest you buy go with Walcom
>>
>>54339354
you should probably learn how to use the mouse and software first.
>>
>>54339888
To avoid any chance of misuse I literally didn't use the mode switch on the second mouse more than 8 times.
I left it on normal mode, I could feel the resistance of the ratcheting mechanism slowly fading away with each roll.
Two days later the wheel completely lost its resistance and got stuck on free rolling.

People have opened the chassis and found out the mechanism is a complete, unreliable, gimmicky fuck up.
This mouse is literally designed to break within few hours of use.

The Logitech g502. I use it for work and gaming. It fits my hand great and I love that you can adjust the weights in it. Not to mention the software so you can dial in the right dpi you need.
>>
>>54338298

>>
>>54336744
I love it.
>>
>>54342575

If your wrist hurts, I'd stick to the thumb types.
The center ball ones use a lot more wrist movement even though I like them more for gaming.

Trackman wheel is great, but older Microsoft Explorers are a lot less on ebay with ceramic bearings.
>>
>>54339994

I returned my MX Crapster too, had random bluetooth interference and issues where the tracking turned into a "connect-the-dots" movement
>>
>>54342936
my problem is the posture. I put all the arm resting on the wrist.
maybe any of the options you propose are good, as they make you move the hand and don't rest so much
>>
>>54343087
Microsoft Explorer supports the hand pretty well and your wrist is immobile. But it's a very old device, with low DPI and ridiculously overpriced due to high demand.
>>
>>54340103
It's a nice mouse until the coating turns into this grainy shell that gets dust all over your fingers whenever you use it
